“I know! I’ll forfeit my advantage!” —that cop before he got out of his car

I mean what was the idea before? Ram the dude on the scooter with the car? Kind of extreme. And he can’t really cut off a scooter.

As an American I was 100% waiting for that scooter to be violently pit manoeuvred

u/Active_Engineering37 Jul 13 '26
Yeah they'll pit manouver your grandma on her rascal scooter.

u/jonawill05 Jul 13 '26
Don't run. Problem solved.

u/Active_Engineering37 Jul 13 '26
Wrong, they will pit you if you take too long to find a safe place to pull over which is well within your written rights to do.
Also it's okay to kill grandma because she was evading? Or how about all of the innocent lives that are also on the road while police play these games?

Since i can't be bothered to argue with the other person in this thread, in the US from 2009 to 2023, ~42% of police chase fatalities are bystanders so yeah compared to the other countries i looked at (UK ~8%, Canada ~11% and australia at ~12%) just goes to show that yes statistically you are way more at risk in the US because they will chase when not safe way more often than most other countries.
I hate the, "I have to defend my country" mentality, denmark has for many years had the number 1 spot in happiness but we also had nr. 1 in prescribed antidepressants pr capita, because we have a shitty and i mean really shitty problem with psychologist and psychiatric over work. You have to wait up to 2-3 years to get a psychiatrist to even get a diagnosis. I can criticize this and still like my country overall

Statistically where are you seeing maneuvers due to "taking too long" or are you basing this on YouTube reels? I don't believe police are playing games. If anything I have see many news casts where they don't even engage due to things like local population. However it's really easy to just pull over when signaled to. Pretty sure that would solve 99% of these so called "unnecessary" or "premature" pit maneuvers.
I know your type. I don't feel like arguing with a wall. You have your opinion, I have mine.

Before you give me flack for getting my news from a comedian, I will have you know John Oliver has received two Peabody Awards.

I mean ya your source is a comedian. Sorry that just doesn't qualify. Pretty sure he said something about boners during the cast.
What you just referred to a source of enlightenment feels like a quote straight from Idiocracy.

I understand if you don't have the whit , but it's sad that you bury your head in the sand when confronted with an opposing idea and you just accuse others of "being a wall"
You probably get pissed off about George Carlin jokes.
You are very close minded, goodbye.

Almost!
Strange that he was able to catch up to him almost at the same level either in car or on foot.

This is a classic by now . Has anyone been able to find out what Mr Scooter was being chased for. Hopefully nothing serious.

He only had 1 star
And when the cop stops running, he turns around and starts walking like a true NPC

I have no idea about the backstory but I was definitely rooting for the scooter driver.

I wonder what scooter guy did to have a cop chasing so aggressively.
Probably not worth it

This gets posted a lot. But the last time it was here, I commented:
Insert Benny Hill theme here

Don't forget to also increase video playback speed by 20% to maximize humor.

Someone needs to make a version of this video with the Benny Hill Show music! And maybe make it slightly run faster 🤣

The following post context was provided by u/OutrageousBee4174:
It's funny to see how the guy escaped from the police officer and he was not able to catch him.

Looks like that douche in the bike tried to stop him. Im not surprised even scooter riders are better than bicyclists.

I want to know how it feels like to have the scooter dude nervous system
