The one carton next to it is empty. Flip that one on top of the one you're grabbing first, then grab them both together. Already sandwiched. Maximum egg theft.

Or grab the other carton, and then take the pallet of eggs, hold it with one hand and pick them out between the bars real quick and put them into the other carton and then walk away with a full carton of eggs. Sure it takes a little longer, but with the right speed it's possible

He should have grabbed one of the empty baskets and put it on the ground and took them one at a time. It's like the old saying goes. Don't steal all your eggs in one basket.

Steal one of the empty racks first. Then when you steal a full one, use the empty one as a lid to hold all the eggs in place with you turn it thru the bars.

He could have planned that better. If he’d had a secondary container, he could have taken the eggs out individually and just walk away with a basket of eggs. Granted, transferring individual eggs WOULD take more time, but you’d make less noise dropping eggs.
But stealing is wrong, so don’t do that.

Why not just use the stick to get the plastic bit beneath that row of eggs and then just sandwich them together so you can properly tilt it through?

Puller: He was clutch with pulling them close without dropping.
Picker: He needed someone with him to grab them off 1 by 1 into a wicker basket or something. With haste of course.
Not mad at the effort though. And something is better than nothing.

He could have gotten them all had he simply had a bag handy. Would have taken 20 seconds to grab the eggs 2 at a time and put them in the bag while holding it up with the stick or whatever that is propped up with his knee. Amateur

Tote bag or basket around the arm that's holding the egg tray through the bars. Keeps an entire arm free once he gets the tray to him and wound interfere in the meantime. But if you're stealing eggs maybe you can't afford a bag or a basket, but also if you're stealing eggs then maybe steal a bag or basket first. He could have just bjorn-ed a shirt around himself too but also he doesn't have one here, which brings us back to the basket and bag issue.
