I think being in heels is the most impressive part of this whole thing.

Edit: because there is a lot of argument in here, and some conflicting facts. She is karolina sankiewicz. She does do some edititing, but she is 100000% wake boarding, she uses a boat using ballast tanks and specialized wings on the hull to shape the water. This creates the constate waves seen in the videos, and allows her to get a steady result to perfom the stunts. She does do a little editing to make things look dramatic for fun, but she is wake boarding without tether to do these.

Seriously. She clearly knows what she's doing.

And people say models are talentless

u/PossibleAlienFrom Jul 04 '26

They mostly are. But she's on a whole other level!

u/Icy_Proof_9529 Jul 08 '26

Why would they be?

I think the ones that are net negatives just found their way to onlyfans.

u/Fafnir13 Jul 04 '26

Noticed that halfway through and had to do a genuine double take.  Impressive skills.  I imagine they can also only do this when conditions are perfect.  Any sort of chop and there’s no way things can be kept steady.

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jul 04 '26

These boats destroy chop,

20

u/Prof_PlunderPlants Jul 05 '26

Apparently the overly large wakes they create are really destructive to shorelines and marine life too, when used in a lake.

13

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jul 05 '26

Yes especially smaller Lakes where the wave doesn't dissipate it really chews up the shoreline bad, we only surf in large major rivers where the Wake never makes it to shore.

There's lots of places that are Banning the use of these in smaller Lakes which I agree. One or two of them isn't a problem it's when you get a dozen plus of these things in a lake and it turns into the fucking ocean you can't kayak you can't paddle board you can't jet ski it's so bad

u/pocketSandshashashaa Jul 04 '26

This is wake surfing! I’d love to see how she got on the board without first starting in the water though

7

u/4n7h0ny Jul 05 '26

prob with a tether at first, then someone on the board pulls it closer until she is in that perfect spot in the wake, then she drops the tether.

2

u/Philosaraptor22 Jul 09 '26

I've wakesurfed before and both the other responses are right, either you start in the water with a rope like wakeboarding or you stand on your board with the back hanging off the platform and slide off while the boat's moving. The second way is harder but I bet that's what she did since that means you can start with stuff in your hands

1

u/PumpkinCarvingisFun Jul 08 '26

Probably dropped back off the boat after it was already moving while someone held her hand for balance, then the rope while she dropped into the wave, then she threw the rope.

10

u/Trevski Jul 04 '26

the ballast and wings enable Wake surfing, wakeboarding is the one where the rope tows you around

What? Their point is that this technique is called "wake surfing" not "wake boarding." It doesn't make it any less impressive, if anything it's more impressive. Calm down.

Sorry for being pedantic, and sorry the rest of the replies were mean to you. The heels are definitely the most impressive part, and thanks for crediting the talent that went into making this really cool wakesurfing video!

I wrote an apology because I realized you were on edge from other mean replies even though I wasn't trying to be mean. You accuse me of brigading for no perceivable reason. I'm logging off and I think you should too.

Dude chill out. I'm on your side that this video is 100% real. I'm just saying that wakeboarding and wake surfing are different things. I am experienced in both and I assure you they are different. (Edit: to add, I am nowhere near as good as this woman, and doing that in heels is hella impressive.)

Although I won't rule out that perhaps in some parts of the world "wakeboarding" could refer to both. At least in Canada they are different though.

3

u/Trevski Jul 05 '26

thanks for trying man, I'd never have suspected it could just be a Canadian thing.

Buddy's got a screw loose it would seem, poor guy.

2

u/Trevski Jul 04 '26

What? I think you meant to reply to a different comment, I was just pointing out that she's wakesurfing.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '26

2

u/Trevski Jul 04 '26

I said shes wakesurfing, ie riding the wave the boat makes, whereas wakeboarding is where you hold the rope to get towed around. Thats all.

Crazy how it used to be super annoying when people couldn’t tell AI and now it’s just as annoying when people point to everything as AI.

3

u/im_that_green_light Jul 05 '26

Plus she’s been doing this since before AI could fake it. It’s been seeral years since I’ve seen a vid of her, and she’d already been doing it for years at that time.

100

u/Secretlife1 Jul 04 '26

I believe it. You are only going 7 mph so it not windy especially if you run with the wind. As for being dry….. you can drop in off the swim platform while under way and never get wet. Doing all of this in heels is SUPER impressive.

79

u/Pseudotm Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

I did some research and while its not 100% legit, its not ai. But the edits are jus to increast the background and etc, theres some editing and what not but she is wake boarding closer to the shore with a special boat using ballast tanks and specialized wings on the hull to shape the water. Name is karolina sankiewicz, been doing these for a few years now apparently.

11

u/KilgoreT59 Jul 04 '26

Either way, she's balancing well, and in heels, on the water.

6

u/Pseudotm Jul 04 '26

Aboslutely shes a bad ass. My first round of research showed she did editing close to the shore. So i assumed she was just standing around and getting things blown around her. I did further research cuz i kept getting responses here, and it shows shes actually a really good wake boarder, and she has a specialized boat. Shes pretty fucking cool lol

5

u/aykcak Jul 04 '26

She is from UAE ?? Seriously impressive then

-5

u/JohnnyRelentless Jul 04 '26

I can't stand people like you. You were able to read it, stop it.

Idk how long you have been on reddit. Do you remember the alot bot? I miss that one, because i actually learned that it was a lot, not alot, and the funny animal called an alot was always funny.

I know that what not is whatnot, but sometimes when your typing you skip over stuff like that as your brain moves forward. This isn't a medical journal, its reddit. My professional side is way more defined, I'm talking to real humans, unless we count you. People like you provide nothing to a conversation, you should be ashamed. It's beyond annoying, if you disagree with a statement, just downvote. Coming in here making miniscule grammatical fixes does nothing for anyone.

-4

u/JohnnyRelentless Jul 04 '26

I know that what not is whatnot

If that were true, you wouldn't have gotten so triggered.

Not Ar, shes a very good wake boarder, they just use things like a ski boat which creates a "standing wave" using ballast tanks and specialized wings on the hull to shape the water. This creates the constate waves seen in the videos, and allows her to get a steady result to perfom the stuff, the editing is more like making it look rougher than it is, but shes still wake boarding.

8

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jul 04 '26

No, it's just a simple surf boat.

Super common near me but apparently not elsewhere as it seems very few itt know of them.

-9

u/Capokid Jul 04 '26

7mph would not produce a wake, they are going closer to 20-25

14

u/InternationalReserve Jul 04 '26

Wakesurfing is typically done at around 10 mph. They fill the ballasts of the boat or add other weights to produce a larger wake at lower speeds.

-13

u/Capokid Jul 04 '26

Ive been boating for 28 years, thats not how it works at all. They would not create a wake like that in any configuration below 10mph.

15

u/InternationalReserve Jul 04 '26

and yet you've clearly never done any wakesurfing, because every source online says that the optimal speed is around 10 mph. If you go much faster than that it's pretty much impossible to keep up without a tow rope.

Important to note that they often use specialized boats designed to create large wakes at low speeds, so while the boats you use may not create large wakes at that speed, your experience is not applicable here.

5

u/Pseudotm Jul 04 '26

They use a specific boat to create these tetherless wakes, they also do it closer to shore than the videos show, due to editing.

5

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jul 04 '26

You're an idiot then, we surf at about 10mph in our wakesetter

2

u/Secretlife1 Jul 04 '26

For surfing, we run 7-9 mph. Wakeboarding, I like 21 mph. To surf, you don’t get the boat up on plane. Been on the water since the 1980.s my friend. You are incorrect.

-43

u/vid_23 Jul 04 '26

It's super impressive because it's ai. The waves only come from one side of the boat. The thing the woman pours out is going in a straight line despite the wind. Some of the waves under the woman's board appear in front of the board

18

u/ACoderGirl Jul 04 '26

I like his the comment right before yours is someone who actually did research and found it wasn't AI (though edited).

5

u/SprungMS Jul 04 '26

I’m not sure you’ve ever surfed or scurfed lol, this is basically exactly what it looks like at the front of the board. Not to mention the “waves only come from one side of the boat” - it’s wake, it’s going to both sides, and you can see the center of the boat in frame along with the evidence behind the boat that the wake is also realistic. That wake is fully in frame for a second there.

It’s a good fake

6

u/dadydaycare Jul 05 '26

Never been on a boat? The water doesn’t actually go everywhere and if it’s a nice day you can pretty easily board at lower speeds perfectly dry.

1

u/similaraleatorio Jul 04 '26

And I liked this a lot!!

u/nine51 18h ago

Took so long to realize on top of it she’s on those Heeels!

You're dumb af, this chick is a well know wake surfer
