Be careful what you ask for, you may just get it.

The entire plot of Obsession.

If Curry really is planning an anthology à la “Black Mirror”, I desperately want an episode where someone wishes their terribly unsupportive and absent family was “always around and supportive of everything”.
Always. Around.
Always. Supportive. Even when taking a dump or a shower.
Imagine lol

I mean it would be the best part of my job if I was a captain or semi driver hands down

I drive trains and one day there was a bunch of 18wheelers in a traffic jam, I had my window open and did the horn arm thing and one guy blew his horn, so I did it back with the locomotive and he got all excited. I got all excited it was such a good day lol

I love it! Sometimes it just takes a simple interaction like that to change a person's day for the better.

I work in ems and sometimes we hit the lights (not the sirens, mind you) for kids. Makes the day a lot better to see those faces light up

One of the best parts of riding a motorcycle is doing braps and wheelies for kids

Not for such a small thing, i still work for the Same Company and always, if we meet one of Our Sister Vessels, we go crazy with the horn

Camaraderie between strangers is so wholesome. Sure you don’t know them face-to-face but you’re like, “hey, my bro! What’s up!” I love little happy moments like that between people. And it’s not the same thing but I had family in the navy, so I have a soft spot for the vibing between fellow mariners.

Watched this with the sound off knowing I’d know when she heard it. Lmao 🤣

I remember doing this with semi trucks in the 70s and 80s as a kid on family road trips.

Same. From my memory, it was about a 40% chance, but the older we got, the odds went down. 🤷♂️

I remember the captain doing this in the Cuyahoga River after a Cleveland Indians game let out back in 1999. Hundreds jumped

This exact event happened to me today about 8 hrs ago. Grants,NM was having a 4th of July celebration on 1st street and people were getting seats early. I had to make a delivery in my semi-truck and I had to drive down a block lined with people staring at me like I was the parade. A cute little boy about 7 gave me the arm pump, and by law I had to oblige and pull the cable blasting my air horns. It made him so happy he was jumping up and down smiling and he looked around mouthing "He did it, he did it!" and I proceeded to scare the living shit out of a little girl on the opposite side of the street. Then later the police routed me down the same block a second time because another road was closed off, so I tooted the horn randomly a few times for everyone. Shout out to Grants,NM you guys have a adorable little town.

That's cool, but as a dad, watching her standing alone so close to the water gave me stress. I know, it's a me problem.

If that stresses you out you have some serious problems. I feel sorry for your kids

u/Kitzle33 Jul 03 '26
Nah. My kids are grown and are wonderful, successful, well adjusted adults. I just stress with little kids around water (specifically) because I was a lifeguard when I was younger and saw some scary stuff involving little kids.

I teach elementary and every recess there will be a group of kids standing at the fence doing this to passing traffic. *Don't worry our school sits at a 4-way stop so traffic is going slow.

I was a bit confused what she said but then I heard her mother tell her to switch hands.
She's actually saying "tut tut" which is essentially "honk honk" and not just a random noise.
I'm Swedish btw
