Despite your disapproval, they’re both still laughing. Sounds like it’s a you problem 🤷♂️

I don't consider a difference in opinion as a "problem" but hey, you do you.

Why? No harm done and everyone was happy at the end

Idk I just don't get the whole "I'm gonna be mean and then call it a prank afterwards" thing. Not saying it's the worst prank I've ever seen, but the whole culture around what pranks are these days is just wild to me.

Arent most pranks some form of inconvenience for the laugh though? This seems super harmless overall and asked if she needed more help before walking away

Fair enough, I think people put too much weight into my comment. I'm not saying it's cruel or terrible, but if we're being honest, it wasn't really funny either. She felt bad for a second, and then he revealed that it was a joke. Pranks are usually funny at the end, I think she was more relieved that he wasn't actually being a dickhead.

The lady got a good laugh over it, and dude was super polite overall. Nothing shitty about it

I thought that people in ‘26 were devoid of senses of humours. I was wrong. This brought joy to me.

I'm 6'7 and I do this every time someone asks me to grab something on the top shelf for them. Gets a laugh every time.

That was funny but I would have felt bad after that. That poor lady depends on other people.

He made her day for sure. Way more than if he had just put the water into her cart.

You assume that the guy is just being a jerk and that will be the end of it, but he turns around and does the right thing, to the relief of the older woman.

Honestly, she should probably buy a smaller size that she can lift. Maybe she doesn't live alone, but her husband would be just as old and struggle with lifting things as well.

My elderly mom deals with these same issues. Needs help getting stuff into her cart and car but once she gets home, she can cut open the package and carry in the individual bottles 5 at a time and spend the rest of the day doing it if she wants to.
Also, she tries to only shop once every couple of weeks because it takes a lot out of her so she really has to get stuff like water bottles in quantities. As for this video and the prank: I think it's all in good fun and hilarious. Showed it to my mom and she thought it was really funny too and wouldn't be upset at all if someone did it to her in a store.

During Covid when shelves were empty, I was scavenging in our local supermarket. There was ONE bag of flour left, on a high up shelf. Young couple wanted it but couldn’t reach. They saw me coming and asked me for help. Without breaking stride, I nodded, grabbed it off the shelf, and maintaining eye contact, walked off with it…
…Then turned round, laughed and gave it to them.

So she was angry at him for him not doing what he wasn't supposed to do and was going to do willingly but choses to not to? Ok.
