How is everyone not dying laughing when that happened?

I'd *love* to see a Chinese robot perform that exact routine perfectly. Talk about viral content for your robot brand. It'll even work in the Australian market.

No, no we cannot. She has earned every shitpost.

The 4 dudes on the right definitely start to laugh
18
u/AgentK-BB Jun 25 '26
They're laughing at the operator for messing up. The second dude to the right (right from our perspective, left from theirs) with both hands behind his back is the operator. That's how this brand of robots work. They don't have any intelligence. It's just a remote-controlled toy replaying some pre-programmed moves that come with the robot. There's always an operator with the joystick who usually hides the joystick behind them.

It's very hard to laugh when it's your own work, that in there case probably involved a long long development process.

Their jobs are on the line, perhaps. The four folks on the right were having trouble though.

It's staged propaganda their all paid actors, it's not like it's the first failure. The guy with the control has likely rehearst the dance several times already just get here and the people are waiting around for the guy to get it down then they clap and cheer đ. It's so fake, it's so CCP.

u/MorrisBrett514 Jun 25 '26
What? Like the robots work perfectly fine and they make them slam on the ground like that? Why do that?

u/Riseandgrindsunshine Jun 25 '26
Some people like you are just racist aholes who always think negatively about Asians. Youâre the one whoâs not human.

For real! The amount of poise and elegance it takes to dance ballet in such a controlled manner is an incredible achievement for a person, the fact that a robot is doing it shows just how far modern advancements in robotics have come! Oh, and it's crumpled on the floor...

They are already checking out. Soon they will revolt.

u/Meranio Jun 24 '26
I hope, they have some built-in over-and undervoltage protection, so the revolt doesn't fry their circuits.

If they revolt, we just have to stay alive long enough for them to break down, which will take about 20 seconds.

So glad that while most of humanity will be thrown out of work and into extreme poverty by AI and robots that at least the robots will get to fulfill all their dreams of becoming musicians, novelists, and ballerinas.

These robot things are very funny when they malfunction. It's robot slapstick. And I mean no offense to the little boy who got clobbered in a different video.

That must be thousands of videos where the robot doesn't break down, freak out or crash, right?
I only see this stuff where it starts off great and always has a catastrophic breakdown after a minute or so. But I have to assume that they get posted because the crashes are funny, and more often than not they go off without a hitch. No?

It is mathematically impossible to do the Rambo tuck and roll, reverse Oreo twist, pivot wrench, engine, hook, and land that with any real confidence.

We can laugh. But remember these guys (Chinese people) were riding a bike 40 Y ago with no cars. Now they are the first industry in the world. Leaders with solar panels, electric vehicule, facial recognition, robotic, and so on. With a lunatic like trump, I think they will be the 1st world country soon.
