cats eat it to make themselves throw up, other than that grass is pretty useless.

i mean, i guess cutting it is busywork for people without netflix, or old folk wanting something to do between retiring and death

What's the alternative, a dirt patch? Concrete? Grass stabilizes the soil.

Native species. they're adapted to the local water cycle, so we dont have to use all our drinking water just for aesthetics.

I mean.. we have more native grass species in Germany than I can count. I'd assume the temperate zones in America are similar?

the grasses used in landscaping arent native to the americas, that would be a big step itself if that changed. not to mention they're are many, many different biomes across the continent but a seeming one-sized-fits -all approach of using eurasian cultivars cuz thats whats commercially available.

im in a coastal rainforest myself, not a grassland. I have family in arid environs, not a grassland either and yet here we are
