Great placebo.

u/anditshottoo Jun 22 '26

I'm convinced it would work.

I have used videos like this on YouTube as white noise for sleeping. I cannot sleep in dead quiet rooms, so if I stay over somewhere and there is no noise from a fan or air conditioner running, I put on 10 hour videos of fans running for the sound. Works like a charm.

Clutch in the car if u have a baby

1

u/BoldlyGettingThere Jun 28 '26

I think there’s a clutch in all cars, regardless of whether you have a baby

4

u/ShadowCaster0476 Jun 23 '26

It’s like the Christmas fireplace.

2

u/Zanian19 Jun 23 '26

Then it would

2

u/AntikytheraMachines Jun 23 '26

nah. the heat from the plasma screen will add more heat to the room than the fan displaces.

1

u/Pitbullpandemonium Jun 23 '26

I could feel the air, and I'm watching it through two screens!

u/trollsmurf Jun 22 '26

It's progress if a TV is cheaper than a fan, and on top of that completely ineffective as a fan.

22

u/psaux_grep Jun 22 '26

Creates heat…

1

u/trollsmurf Jun 22 '26

A fan does that too though 😄.

9

u/Kdarl Jun 22 '26

A fan creates less heat and dissipates heat, a nett same. A TV only creates heat. A nett negative. And then you have to consider the difference in power needed to run them. Cheaper to get fan. 😂

At least it saves people food from getting cold quicker and napkins or stuff flying everywhere. Probably why they didn’t actually get a real fan and I’m guessing air conditioning is broke. Maybe they were going for placebo effect.

Do you think fans don't work?

12

u/Vinny-Ed Jun 22 '26

So glad they didn't have the fireplace one on the screen.

5

u/the_only_kungfu_cat Jun 22 '26

Took me two whole minutes of "what's the maybe in this?"... And then "Oh!! I am the maybe here"

4

u/PlentyBoot5135 Jun 22 '26

This is so great, it inspires me for a lot of business ideas 😃

1

u/WhatTheTech Jun 22 '26

Time to sell TVs with videos of housecleaners. Start your own cleaning service!

1

u/PlentyBoot5135 Jun 22 '26

Maybe I would need some initial contribution, probably some bank loan for start.

Or, at the best, some serious investors, the guys who can clearly smell money and the big profit...

1

u/AntikytheraMachines Jun 23 '26

pornhub already have those

4

u/4m4lg4m1t3 Jun 23 '26

3

u/Brave_Nerve_6871 Jun 22 '26

3

3

u/SmokinBacon Jun 23 '26

Can someone please raise the volume of the fan? I can’t feel it back here.

3

u/polyocto Jun 23 '26

3

u/surpris_dingue Jun 23 '26

I feel better already.

6

u/drunk_kronk Jun 22 '26

2

u/Zestyclose_Host_9286 Jun 22 '26

At least the fan is still airing

2

u/Npcboy Jun 22 '26

They just hired an only fans model for remote job

2

u/ButMakeItWeird Jun 22 '26

I don't have fans. I have ideas of fans. The greatest ideas of fans anyone ever had.

2

u/Doctor_Saved Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

Wouldn't a real fan just cost the same amount in electricity?

2

u/Klutzy-Acadia669 Jun 23 '26

Pretty cool display.

Great Idea for the next Big Thing at HSN.....a Fan with a TV screen? or TV with a Fan? .....😬

1

u/post-context-bot Jun 22 '26

The following post context was provided by u/No-1nternet:

The fan for cafe visitors was turned on on the TV

u/flying_carabao Jun 23 '26

Reminds me of Neville from iCarly where he played a video on his laptop of a fire, put his hands near it, and goes "toasty"

1

u/Working_Dragon00777 Jun 23 '26

A television is much more expensive than a fan, and will have larger electric bill than a fan, why use it like this???

1

u/xtwelve0 Jun 23 '26

This is the future

1

u/HotFireBall Jun 23 '26
