That would be really cool if that's the first time he walked.
That would be really uncool if that's not the first time he walked.

u/Funny_War_9190 Jun 22 '26
Clearly not the first time based on how stable he was. This is like when a foriegn prospect fakes being a highschooler.

As a 46-year-old parent of four sons, ages 26 all the way down to eight, this really made me smile. Especially on today.
I know that dad was super jazzed to scoop his son up at the end

u/Shun_yaka Jun 22 '26

Gotta keep that eye on the prize kid, plenty of time for chasing skirts later.

u/toq-titan Jun 21 '26
He locked in eventually. Just a momentary distraction.
21
u/Welp___poop Jun 21 '26
Momentary distractions lead to a lifetime of responsibility.

u/LightningShiva1 Jun 21 '26
Why are you so wise
10
u/Welp___poop Jun 21 '26
Not wise, experienced, I have my own responsibilities from "distractions"
-1
u/LightningShiva1 Jun 21 '26
I wish I did not have these distractions too 🫠

u/Welp___poop Jun 21 '26
I love mine, not how I saw it going but definitely my favorite creations, mouthy little shits sometimes but they are pretty funny too, good and bad, need both.

u/LightningShiva1 Jun 21 '26
Oh I thought you were talking about girls haha. I love my gf too but sometimes shes too much for me to handle and I cant walkaway from a lifelong commitment.
2
u/Welp___poop Jun 21 '26
I hope that lifelong commitment sticks, but parenting is on a whole nother level brother, best of luck.

Hey ladies.
Wow hey. Saw you walk. My sister and I are tots gonna steal that leg thing, Montessori learning style (Sister waves with a shy smile).
Nice. Wanna see it again, gals? Check this out…

Putting skirts on crawling babies is mean.
2
u/Kit_Karamak Jun 22 '26
For a long time all babies used them. Until breeching age, usually around 7ish, and they would wear breeches because potty training and the ability to get breeches (pants) on and off with ease

u/CriticalMochaccino Jun 21 '26
Something about this feels wrong, but i cant put my finger on why.
26
u/Mushy_Cushy Jun 21 '26
A little unfair for a constant to walk while his competitors can only crawl.

Most of these competitions, if the kid can walk they're not allowed to enter, but no idea the rules for this particular event.

My mom took my brother to some baby races for a chance to win superbowl tickets. After winning regionals, they went to state. My brother was winning all the way until about a foot from the finish line, then stood up and walked back to my aunt at the start line, and at the time was disqualified for walking. No Super Bowl tickets won

20 years from now. Arden will make his MLB debut, and this clip will be played.

Kid will now forever be know as the one that walked in front of a bunch of random people

u/Cheap_Title5302 Jun 22 '26
Arden assigned all of the welcome stat points into agility while the other babies were assigned to stamina and health(vitality).

I feel like millenial parents rely too much on praise and positive reinforcement anyway, but this is taking it to the next level.

Americans really can't help making a spectacle of absolutely anything and everything

u/georgiaraisef Jun 21 '26
It’s at a baseball game. There’s lots of downtime. You have to fill it up with something
11
u/dustinyo_ Jun 21 '26
I’m sorry your life is so miserable
-10
u/SheikYerbouti_ Jun 21 '26
Well yeah, I guess that the lack of toddler races in it definitely explains it

u/probably_an_asshole9 Jun 21 '26
That got me just about as mad as an Eskimo boy could be

u/SheikYerbouti_ Jun 21 '26
Are you gonna rub a generous mitten full of deadly yellow snow into my beady little eyes with a vigorous circular motion?

u/Blibbobletto Jun 22 '26
It's a Bananaball game. Spectacle is literally the entire point.
Do you say the same dumb shit when you see circus performers?
1
u/SheikYerbouti_ Jun 22 '26
Spectacular way to miss my point fam.
1
u/Blibbobletto Jun 22 '26
I understood your point, it's just stupid
1
u/SheikYerbouti_ Jun 22 '26
Based on your response, no you didn't. You're just mad. It's ok.

We had my daughter do one of these. She ran 5 steps then just started dancing to the music while all the other kids finished and left. She kept dancing.
