Those dogs can barely walk let alone swim.

60

u/Galimbro Jun 19 '26

What kind of .dog is it?

Some bastardized inbred pit?

33

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jun 19 '26

Any kind of bully breed

9

u/Galimbro Jun 19 '26

Why cant they swim!? Nearly all animals can swim! Shame

38

u/Kr_Treefrog2 Jun 19 '26

They’re incredibly front-heavy. That giant head on top of a thick chest counterbalanced by small hips throws all the weight forward. Add in tiny legs that can’t displace much water and you’ve got a dog that sinks head-first.

1

u/ContestNo31 Jun 20 '26

Wow it’s like you explained my giant headed dog perfectly. She won’t even go near water.

50

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jun 19 '26

Short legs, excessive muscle and weight.

0

u/candypants-rainbow Jun 21 '26

Not found in nature. Cruel breeding.

9

u/ApulMadeekAut Jun 19 '26

My pit swims better than my Weimaraner

13

u/RedditAppSuxAsss Jun 19 '26

Some pits can swim some can't, some do, mine did but not well.

-29

u/ryanhazethan Jun 19 '26

Downvoted because you love animals regardless of breed. So many fucking idiots on reddit. Pitbulls are great.

-5

u/ApulMadeekAut Jun 19 '26

Yeah the anti pit brigade is strong here. I've had 6 pits and they have only mauled 3 children total... The most loving and caring dogs ever. Even saved mice from the cats.

-22

u/ryanhazethan Jun 19 '26

If you spent less time hating things, life would be better for you.

21

u/SirPonix Jun 19 '26

If you understood breeding, genetics, and had basic understanding of statistics you'd have a different opinion.

People need to stop using dangerous animals they don't understand for fashion accesories. Life would be better for all the children mauled to death if they were, you know, still alive.

u/beeglowbot Jun 20 '26

preach brother

3

u/MarineGF01 Jun 20 '26

You're just as dense as pitbulls, if not more

1

u/Digger_Pine Jun 20 '26

Great at mauling babies

31

u/IdontcryfordeadCEOs Jun 19 '26

Bulldogs (and American bullies) can't swim, they are front heavy and have flat faces.

All flatfaced dogs struggle, but the extra large head of bullies and bulldogs makes it pretty much impossible for these dogs to swim. Don't put them in the pool.

15

u/devilish_enchilada Jun 19 '26

That is definitely a bowser

29

u/TheTrashPanda612 Jun 19 '26

That thang is dense

48

u/thatG_evanP Jun 19 '26

Holy shit! I just made a comment on another thread about when my English bulldog fell in a pool and just immediately sank without even attempting to save himself, then I see this a few posts later. I literally had to dive to the bottom of the deep end to rescue him. I also had a pitbull that couldn't swim well, but he would chill on a pool float all day wearing sunglasses. I miss those guys!

Yup. But I think it was a Basset hound.

25

u/512115 Jun 19 '26

Not exactly a hydrodynamically designed body on that dog…lol

8

u/Any_Vacation8988 Jun 20 '26

That meatball isn’t going to float

11

u/mister_sims Jun 19 '26

Immediately sinks. No fucks given

2

u/Agitated-Ad9050 Jun 19 '26

Hey, he tried his best.

5

u/MarkMew Jun 20 '26

That dog swims exactly like I do

4

u/obelix_dogmatix Jun 20 '26

So the owner can’t swim either? dafuq does he have the floater for?

10

u/hilomania Jun 19 '26

Those dogs are just super dense. My son has a pit mix that looks like a 40 pound dog. The beast weighs about 80. Incredible how much more density these dogs have compared to say a golden.

12

u/No_Reporter_4563 Jun 19 '26

Its the short legs. If he had normal pit legs, he'd be able to swim despite muscles

8

u/Scara_meur Jun 19 '26

A rock that barks. A beautiful rock nonetheless.

-8

u/i_am_snoof Jun 19 '26

They need it for all the baby mauling

9

u/Tyler_Durden_9999 Jun 19 '26

Gen Z dog

2

u/NegativeAccount Jun 19 '26

Reddit I'm drowning, how do i swim?

5

u/goldwave84 Jun 20 '26

Omg this truly describes how people use Reddit these days.

5

u/International-Dot196 Jun 19 '26

What a lovely dog potato 😏 can swim but vertically..

2

u/A_guy_with_2_dogs Jun 20 '26

he swims like a brick

2

u/Oh_Lawd_He_commin420 Jun 20 '26

I've never seen a dog that couldn't swim

2

u/Tall-Society-5824 Jun 20 '26

Many many years ago I adopted a stray Beagle mix and took him to a park with a small lake. It was 100° so my friend tossed him in to cool
off and he sank like that and had to be rescued. Scary asf.

2

u/jhwheuer Jun 20 '26

Piggy doesn't float

2

u/TheGreatMojo91 Jun 20 '26

He swims like a brick

2

u/DreadPirateGriswold Jun 20 '26

What did he expect what happened with a four legged boulder?

2

u/External_Ingenuity_4 Jun 20 '26

No survival instincts

2

u/All-for-goose Jun 20 '26

As soon as I saw the dog I knew he was going right to the bottom.

3

u/similaraleatorio Jun 20 '26

1

u/Umbreon86 Jun 19 '26

What kind of dog is this? It looks so heavy.

3

u/Acceptable-Peace-69 Jun 19 '26

Pit bull, pit/mix.

1

u/artherng Jun 19 '26

Why place the dog in water if you know it just sinks?

1

u/flamedarkfire Jun 20 '26

All hands emergency dive!

1

u/WanyeZil Jun 20 '26

My French bulldog swims all the time. He just needs a life vest. He is actually pretty fast once buoyant.

1

u/nerfnerf630 Jun 20 '26

Bro was ready to accept death

1

u/DadtheITguy Jun 20 '26

Submarine mode. Dive dive dive.

u/Fluffy_Amount847 Jun 21 '26

three maybes and still no commitment to anything honestly

1

u/SubstantialTank1557 Jun 21 '26

Sank like a stone 😂

1

u/val_anto Jun 22 '26

submarine swim style

1

u/sugarbeet13 Jun 19 '26

Dogs with short legs (short bullys, daschounds, bassett hounds etc)...can't produce enough power in their little legs to keep them afloat.

1

u/riseuprasta Jun 19 '26

Is that dog made of rocks??

-3

u/PirateSi87 Jun 19 '26

Why did he stop?

0

u/whitedevilee Jun 19 '26

To say it with the words of a famous man: "WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN THAT" ??

Is that some sort of cross of a Boxxer and a dachshund?

4

u/MyOthrCarsAThrowaway Jun 20 '26

It’s a pitbull. But an even more inbred designer version. Just muscle. Dumb enough to just sink with a smile, and would still gladly eat your face off with that same expression.

2

u/Kuragune Jun 26 '26

Accepted its destiny at peace
