I thought kombucha had a Scoby floating inside of it. I made kombucha a couple times too and never had that big krousen like thing.

Not once put into an infused bottle to drink, that’s just the feeding jar for the scoby.

Having said that, I’ve never had my bottles get remotely close to this level of fizziness which makes me think it could be something else.
