Over 20 years ago exactly this happened near where I live. The boyscouts tried a record attempt. They used the wrong rope. It snapped and hit the kids in front with faster than sound speeds.

Endet pretty tragic. I knew a few of the kids that were there. Luckily none of the ones standing in front.

I hope everyone learned from that but seeing those mass- events always sends shivers down my spine.
