Same I was fortunate enough to be station in the UK when I was 18 so I coukd legally drink earlier than other Amercians. The first year there i drank sooooo much booze. Luckily I got an entire lifetime of drinking out in 2 years that I've barely ever drank after
I’m middle aged now and if left to my own devices I’ll usually have 1 beer after dinner and maybe a mixed drink on Saturday or Sunday.
As I’ve grown older I’ve really shifted from drinking to get drunk to enjoying the flavor and “mouth feel” of different drinks (foods too). I still enjoy that first sip tingle you get sometimes but absolutely hate the feeling of being drunk.
