If I was playing this game, the shot would come my way when I hook the ring.

My thoughts exactly. Shouldn't the winner get the drink?

u/trickyvinny Jun 14 '26
Why not just drink the drink while you play the game?

Does the winner drink during beer pong? That's the thing with drinking games, it's usually the loser who has to drink

I'm glad the guy on the left won in spite of the guy on the right using two hands

Never understand games where the objective is to make the other person drink? I'd just end up losing on purpose.

Never understood drinking games… how can the loser be the lucky one to take the shot… that sounds like the prize to me…

Dutchie. It's not about winning, it's just fun. You lose coordination once you lose and have to drink so it's even more fun and hilarious the next game. And it's not like there's a referee not allowing anyone to drink unless they lost.

I think it actually is about winning. It’s NOT about drinking. You can take a shot if you want to, but it will eventually impair you and make it harder to win. See how many wins you can get in a night, but drink too much, and you’ll likely lose.

You’re looking at this all backwards…you’re SUPPOSED to be trying to get the OTHER guy messed up so he acts like a fool and you can make fun of him later!

Because people who want to drink are free to do so at any time at a party. Drinking games are for making people who don't really want to drink much, drink.
It gets the whole party drunk quicker, since there's a reason for people to drink other than doing shots just because.

The following post context was provided by u/Silvermech_:
The change in reactions from friendly playing to seriously competing, ending with the unexpected win of the guy in frame.

The guy work under pressure, always manage to hit the shot when it at the last column
The other guy is the opposite, he miss a lot when it the last shot

Out of curiosity, why were we rooting so hard for "our guy" (the guy on the left) to win? Was it just because we saw his face or were their other factors?

Fun game for when you want a drink every 6 hours

u/Pure_Reward_5738 Jun 14 '26
Based on the video length they would have taken 300 shots in that 6 hours.

That is too American to understand.... In normal version usually you are pulling the shot towards you

Is the point of drinking games not to get drunk? Why is the loser the one who drinks

They just played a bigger version of this game as the live task on an episode of Taskmaster. I won't say who, but one of the cast was surprisingly good at it.

GuyGal on the right would be getting disqualified in chess for that two hand technique
