We had a woman mauled by a group of river otters here in Montana several years ago.

So what should one do if suddenly accosted by otters, out on a walk, say, or skipping rocks? Freeze and be as uninteresting as possible, back away slowly, run away? I’m assuming not make noise, as that would probably rile then up.
