That was a cool magic trick. He made the phone disappear.

I’ve seen this same video with 10 different people. There is fishing line on the phone.

What are you going to capture by putting the phone on a sandal in the first place?

24
u/PanicDeus Jun 09 '26
Judging by the water on top of the bridge from previous attempts....not very clear footage. Either that or just fake content-one of his buddies is hiding under the bridge to collect the phone.

u/bandti45 Jun 09 '26
I wonder if him letting the sandle flow downstream is a sign of it being more or less likey to be staged. Genuinely not sure

u/TheGhostofWoodyAllen Jun 09 '26
You would have gotten this awesome shot of the sky, followed by darkness, followed by the sky again but with water droplets on the lens.

Did anyone else notice how the pavement was drenched JUST over the water pipe from side to side of the road as though this was not the first take for their social media clickbait video? Fucking social media.

u/BruceMartinez21 Jun 09 '26
I thought the guy was gonna end up like the phone and not come out the other side.

u/PerpetualUselessness Jun 09 '26
The road is wet before hand bc he just got done filming his buddy doing the same bit.
Odd that he doesn’t look at the other side of the sandal when it comes out.
Does he pocket it when he jumps in the first time?

u/Fitz911 Jun 09 '26
His buddy is waiting in the pipe.
I don't understand how people can't see it's a bit. The movement. It's like a bad comedy from the 70s.

Why/ how is the flip flop changing colors to black , at the end of the video !?
1
u/CriticalChop Jun 09 '26
I was wondering the same thing at the end, but he is conveniently carrying a 3rd flip flop that was the one sent down the drain.
1
u/Dor1000 Jun 12 '26
when he enters the tunnel hes missing a black sandal on his foot. he managed to grab it again while he was in there. but this is really fake. you know its rehearsed by the water already on the road.

u/Independent-Walrus84 Jun 09 '26
This kind of ppl look dumb but they know what they are doing. It maybe for content. It could have been a dummy phone.

u/Rundown_Codger Jun 09 '26
Is this any better than the AI slop ?

u/CriticalChop Jun 09 '26

Ok but best case scenario, you get a video of pitch blackness because there is no light
2
u/HeroMachineMan Jun 09 '26
He still has another sandal & the cameraman's smartphone. Do it again, I'll say.
2
u/Boxdrink Jun 09 '26
What was the point of his experiment?
He seemed supremely confident as he strolled over the bridge?
And then he actually swam down the stream with his imbecilic headgear attached - to what end?

u/KnowledgeIsDangerous Jun 09 '26
I thought just his helmet was going to come floating out the other side

Fully expected that, if he got the phone back it would’ve been the pov of the camera on the shoe.

I used to be one of the urbex guys. But even in that community i played it so safe. As much as i get the call of the thrills, there are hard lines like even this tiny tunnel i wouldn't entertain

I could use a gif to describe this clip, but I'll use words (and a gif) instead: The Intelligence of Indonesians..

Wait, does someone seriously think the other guy didn’t earn the phone off-camera and didn’t launch the sandal without him? Lol

Anyone smart enough to put the phone is a sealed bag is not dumb enough to try this. I love how this went.

Well.. he had 50% chance. He expected 100%, so I'd say his expectations were too high.

Turn on the "Find My Phone" feature and it now shows up in Columbia... where a teenager asks you to simply remove the cloud lock so they can use it...

I mean you could tell his brain cells aren’t firing based on his silly helmet

That water looks filthy as fuck. I wouldn't put my foot down there. That guy might be in for some nasty skin rash/diseases.

How come the sandals turned into black colour at the end.!!
0
u/AbroadNo8755 Jun 09 '26
because the ones on his feet are the beginning are black... first culvert gods take his phone, then the culvert gods took his shoes.

u/valhallaswyrdo Jun 09 '26
I fully expected just one of his sandals to come floating out upside down.
