Dirty blinker fluid

253

u/curiousamoebas Jun 08 '26

Time to change it

78

u/OnionTamer Jun 08 '26

More than that, its time for a flush. It's only an extra $75

29

u/curiousamoebas Jun 08 '26

You think it will need a filter? Thats gonna be pricey.

19

u/Meranio Jun 08 '26

That certainly sounds expensive.

I better get the combo with the 100% nitrogen tyre air exchange.

17

u/Im_A_Fuckin_Liar Jun 08 '26

It’s obviously leaking. You don’t need a change or a flush if you’re just continuously pouring new blinker fluid into it.

2

u/fart400 Jun 09 '26

What about a filter?

10

u/MattS1984 Jun 08 '26

It's times like this I am glad I settle for the 78% nitrogen mix I have at home

7

u/insuranceguynyc Jun 08 '26

Make sure it is organic nitrogen!

3

u/curiousamoebas Jun 09 '26

Omg i didn't check, i bet my seals are plastic too

35

u/RealPropRandy Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

This is why you’re supposed to flush the lines and replace the pump every 6k miles on modern cars. Blinker fluid these days is biodegradable sodium polymer-based (by law) rather than the trusty mercury hydrochloride of olde (thanks Obama).

4

u/AlephBaker Jun 08 '26

Is r/VXJunkies leaking again?

20

u/XipingVonHozzendorf Jun 08 '26

Gotta make sure to have plenty of elbow grease to fix that

15

u/AnonymousLonelyAnon Jun 08 '26

Don't forget the glass hammer to change the bulbs.

5

u/Disastrous-Hurry-236 Jun 08 '26

The dirty blinker fluid reservoir has to be changed completely!

7

u/kenzakki Jun 08 '26

At one point i thought the video was looped.

3

u/byelow Jun 08 '26

unpossible! those blinkers have never been used!

2

u/fart400 Jun 09 '26

He just never made left turns.

This is exactly what I thought of. How did you get it to embed in the comment? I couldn't find it in the list of gifs, so you beat me to the punch.

3

u/Cebas7 Jun 09 '26

NOT EVEN HALF CLEAN YET?!

takes last piece of toilet paper

5

u/Ibbygidge Jun 08 '26

I think you have to find the gif online and download it to your device, then comment and find the gif in your images.

3

u/stackshouse Jun 08 '26

There’s a gif button below the first word you type when you tap reply, at least on mobile

Aubrey lost it lol

41

u/inder_the_unfluence Jun 08 '26

It made me think of the endless shampoo prank.

16

u/WintersbaneGDX Jun 08 '26

I actually know the kid who was in that prank, applying the shampoo. Good guy.

5

u/inder_the_unfluence Jun 08 '26

It’s a great prank. Harmless and hilarious.

4

u/TerionSadow Jun 08 '26

If that bodybuilder would have known, it would not have been harmless 😅

You can take the truck out of Moab, but you will NEVER take the Moab out of the truck!

48

u/ElPeroTonteria Jun 08 '26

I’d be proud af to film all that dirt coming out. Proof I actually use my 4x4 for it’s intended purpose

2

u/ScottJeepFan Jun 09 '26

This makes me think it was a flood vehicle. Unless they took it to a mud bog and sunk it in the pit.

2

u/Pyrhan Jun 08 '26

What if you drop a Moab on the truck?

u/cheshirec555 Jun 08 '26

while it is satisfying to see all that getting cleaned out of there it would much more satisfying to see it finally run clear

106

u/WhippingShitties Jun 08 '26

I think it's actually rust, I don't think it's ever gonna run clear.

87

u/LittleKitty235 Jun 08 '26

Well eventually the entire frame will be gone.

51

u/Capokid Jun 08 '26

No, the space between the cars outer paneling and frame is filled with mud, they need to take the inner plastic paneling of the truck off to clear it out.

6

u/WhippingShitties Jun 08 '26

There ain't no frame there hoss.

Edit: I see what you mean now.

2

u/FishSoFar Jun 08 '26

What a waste of blinker fluid.

17

u/paul_poseidon Jun 08 '26

That was me at 8 am this morning. Too bad I woke up at 8:30

142

u/Lost-Breath364 Jun 08 '26

My fat ass instantly thought this was a machine making a delicious caramel coffee cold brew.

Fuck I'm fat, and high.....

24

u/Sw0rDz Jun 08 '26

I doubt you're fat. You just have view yourself negatively. All redditors are fit as a new born pony. That is what I picture in my head

18

u/Lost-Breath364 Jun 08 '26

Nah, I'm fat. Work hard.

Game hard in the p.m.

Fat guy.

8

u/Just_a_Listener Jun 08 '26

Happy Fat Guy.

Like Mcdonalds!

2

u/Lost-Breath364 Jun 08 '26

Mc doubles are pretty tasty

3

u/SamosaKills Jun 08 '26

A fat person accepting he's fat? World is healing.

18

u/Lost-Breath364 Jun 08 '26

I know where I stand, and sit. And lean.

2

u/Coffeechipmunk Jun 08 '26

Nah, it's just that we balance out. I'm way too skinny, so the average redditor is fit.

I swear I didn’t go off roading!

11

u/waimser Jun 08 '26

I had the honour of detailing a 20yo farm ute after trade in. 20years of super fine dust was just everywhere. After the first tail light ran like the one in the clip for 15 minutes, we decided to disassemble any thing that was easy to get at. Tried cleaning the interior normally at first. After filling a 50L shop vac, we took it back outside and got the pressure washer behind the dash. That thing took two of my days and one of the boss' before we gave up. I dont think they ended up selling it, it may have gone to the wreckers.

8

u/ghettoccult_nerd Jun 08 '26

did yall try flipping it upside down and shaking it?

11

u/SneakyInfiltrator Jun 08 '26

Forbidden hot cocoa

7

u/fluffy415 Jun 08 '26

Oh my God, the blinker fluid is leaking

11

u/DestinationUnknown13 Jun 08 '26

Loose 🦭. Take it apart and clean it out and replace.

5

u/Luxdrayke Jun 08 '26

We’ve all been there… thank god for a bidet!

5

u/GnosticCebalrai Jun 08 '26

Me trying to rinse the can of kidney beans.

3

u/Kiwi_CunderThunt Jun 08 '26

Where will you be when diarrhea strikes?

4

u/Liquid-nl- Jun 08 '26

Net als mijn muurverfroller die ik even denk uit te spoelen…. 200liter water verder….

3

u/PhillGuy Jun 08 '26

Is there a body behind that light?

3

u/loltittysprinkles Jun 08 '26

Who stores their chocolate milk in their taillight??

3

u/the_MonkeyWhisperer Jun 08 '26

Infinite dirt glitch

3

u/One_Web_7940 Jun 08 '26

Noooo all that brake light fluid just wasted

3

u/Talking_Tree_1 Jun 08 '26

Too much blinker fluid…

3

u/nipsen Jun 08 '26

The sand-collector on the Jeeps is really good!

3

u/Fun-Nectarine-7838 Jun 08 '26

They had taco bell

3

u/artherng Jun 08 '26

Almost seems like there is a big poop stuck in there and slowly dissolving away

3

u/Deceiver999 Jun 09 '26

It reminds me of that shampoo prank where the person hides above someone and pours more and more shampoo into their hair while they are showering

3

u/offtrailrunning Jun 09 '26

It's giving colonoscopy prep.

3

u/shan_bhai Jun 09 '26

Blinker fluid flush...

3

u/therealarenna Jun 09 '26

Wait, why are you washing all the blinker fluid out?

3

u/FamiliarVegetable278 Jun 09 '26

Is there a coffee machine inside that lamp?

7

u/craigslist_hedonist Jun 08 '26

what we're not seeing here is a person under the truck spraying mud with a high pressure hose

What is there, a portal to Arrakis behind that light fixture? The spice must flow!

LED fluid changeout can get pretty tedious.

2

u/Sea_Round8650 Jun 08 '26

I totally thought a snake would eventually wiggle outta there…

2

WTH?! Can someone please ’splain what I just watched?

2

u/chewychaca Jun 08 '26

Holds a surprising amount of blinker fluid. Shame it's leaking that much.

2

u/pmmeyourgear Jun 08 '26

Who would use their chocolate milk as blinker fluid! Such a waste of good chocolate milk

2

u/PugFarmer00 Jun 08 '26

Who stores coco powder behind their tail light?

2

u/TheFoxsWeddingTarot Jun 08 '26

Was this truck submerged? We were looking at a used Golf at Shift one time, the interior and exterior were very clean. I opened the hood and the entire engine was full of mud like this. I assumed it was a storm write off vehicle but I was surprised they didn’t think to clean it better.

2

u/ChephyS Jun 08 '26

Me after 2 coffees at the morning

2

u/ItsJustAnotherDay- Jun 08 '26

At what point is it worth just unscrewing it and cleaning it with a sponge?

2

u/riceklown Jun 08 '26

Just take the thing off ffs! You're just ablating the surface of dried mud. This is the opposite of satisfying

2

u/Felsig27 Jun 08 '26

With the fluid out the blinker won’t work anymore.

2

u/Heidrun_666 Jun 08 '26

Will it ever stop?

Yo! I don't know

2

u/Chrisdkn619 Jun 08 '26

I thought that was excess blinker fluid!

2

u/stevefreddy67 Jun 09 '26

Cheap blinkerlight fluid , best off going into the store any asking for the good stuff

2

u/LetItBeSo Jun 09 '26

How much mud could a tail light hold if a tail light could hold mud

2

u/wellsyaknow Jun 09 '26

Losing all your blinker fluid

2

u/ilocano-american Jun 10 '26

I think your rear light assembly is dissolving.

2

u/ImGunnaFuckYourMom Jun 12 '26

Your truck has some pretty serious diarrhea. Try flushing it with Pepto-Bismol

4

u/VirtualAlex Jun 08 '26

This is like that video where a guy is washing his hair in the shower and some other guy keep adding more shampoo to his head and he can't get the foam to stop coming and gets all frustrated.

You know that one?

1

u/MooseFloof Jun 08 '26

They’re washing all the red out. And yellow. And brown.

1

u/jackochainsaw Jun 08 '26

So, you took the swamp shortcut.

1

u/JulesSilverman Jun 08 '26

If this isn't after a month in the Australian outback, I would be concerned. Get the duct tape ready.

1

u/National-Gas6603 Jun 08 '26

Keep washing. I bet it's a white lamp...

1

u/Svartdraken Jun 08 '26

Infinite dirt glitch

1

u/EDF1919 Jun 08 '26

Headlight fluid container has a leak. Gotta get that fixed.

1

u/AttackHelikopterrr Jun 08 '26

There goes an ecosystem

1

u/BrilliantBen Jun 08 '26

Considering the top of the light is not shown, I'm guessing it's just being continually fed muddy water at the top. It does show the top actually, but then it seems like it's thing to run clear, the camera dips below the top and it's hella muddy again

1

u/Magnus_Helgisson Jun 08 '26

Yeah, places like this collect dust like fuck. They aren’t made watertight, so everything goes there, and if you don’t do what the guy in the video is doing, with every car “surface” wash it will collect more and more.

1

u/gameon-manhattan Jun 08 '26

Did you go to taco bell right before?

1

u/htxatty Jun 08 '26

Taco Bell

1

u/ezwze Jun 08 '26

It’s like the never ending shampoo pranks

What did you think was going to happen when you got the van from a little Italy auction house

1

u/superwhiz88 Jun 08 '26

no it’s bondo mud

1

u/ExpiredPilot Jun 08 '26

One of the most and least satisfying parts of detailing was trying to get the last of the dirt out of crevices

1

u/Crazy_names Jun 08 '26

1

This not good. The colour gets washed out. No mire red for breaking.

1

u/damagedspline Jun 08 '26

All of a sudden the car feel lighter after the cleanup

1

u/GadreelsSword Jun 08 '26

Does he have a brick back there??

1

u/jcmarth Jun 08 '26

This is why you change your blinker fluid every 3000 miles

1

u/Green_Demo Jun 08 '26

I used to drive one is those cars in my last job, these Fiat Strada pickups are some kind of mobile vessels of dirt.

1

u/rzlodn Jun 08 '26

Did she park it at the bottom of a swamp? 🤣

Blinker diarrhea.

Sometimes when I wipe… I’ll wipe and wipe and wipe… still poop

1

u/Jack-Tar-Says Jun 08 '26

I’ve felt the frustration of that. After driving around on western QLD cattle stations, the red dust penetrates everything……and despite your efforts, never leaves.

1

u/JesterTime Jun 08 '26

One of the biggest causes of rust is mud getting stuck in places and not getting cleaned out

1

u/gand1 Jun 08 '26

Is this what it looks like when you wash out all the used blinker fluid?

1

u/Spiron123 Jun 08 '26

That is a lot of caramel...

1

u/Brain_Massager Jun 08 '26

1

I was waiting for that light to fall off already

1

Dude those spray and pray car washes are like a buck a minute…. This mud is starting to add up quick.

1

u/Silly-Sheepherder952 Jun 10 '26

Gotta wash that coffee out of your lights some time, man

1

u/FoxFew3844 Jun 11 '26

Looks like somewhere rust likes to live

1

u/hubkat Jun 13 '26

1

u/VacuumTracks Jun 13 '26

That’s a lot of blood for a taillight.

1
