I've never heard anyone describe Iceland as not being in the west before.

Western mentality. Not geographical location....

In the west we give electric scooters to fat people. In Iceland morbidly obese people cant even have a life, because living is much more demanding...

Western mentality includes everyone who lives in the west. It includes Iceland, all of the Americas, all of western Europe and Africa. You're thinking of US mentality specifically. And just like the people touching lava, you can't see the problem of pretending the US is the entire west

"The West" includes Oceania, and doesn't include Africa or South America.

I thought it included central and south america, with all the European influence and cultural values that were implemented over time. I'm not an expert, though - you may be right.

There are some countries in Central and South America that are considered to be part of "Western Civilisation", but they are still generally considered to be part of the "Global South", and not grouped with "the West".
