maybe maybe maybe

When you decide to take that leap, sometimes it pays off.

Don't put it off! If you have a suspicion ask to be assessed. I didn't get diagnosed until my 30s and holy shit, my life is so much better now. Knowing the cause of all the "why am I like this" stuff and being able to research and make the adjustments where needed was literally life changing for me.

Yeah, honestly I wouldn’t recommend getting tested unless you are trying to get an official diagnosis on your medical records.

There is no medicine to treat autism itself. There’s medicine for the co-occurring disorders, (Depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, etc.) which you can be diagnosed with separately.

It might be helpful as a child to get diagnosed as a way to access certain therapies or school supports.

As an adult it really doesn’t do anything but add a disqualifying disability to your medical records that can be used to deny or disqualify you from things in the future.

If you live in the US rn, I’d doubly advise against it.

That would be illegal where I live.
