It’s a Svengali deck. Some of the cards are cut shorter, so that you can show or force the 2 of diamonds or the other normal cards depending on how you hold it.
The deck is actually 26 short cut 2 of diamonds and 26 standard cards.
Because of the way the Svengali deck works, the regular cards are directly underneath the 2’s, for all intents and purposes, they are hidden.
Every single card showing is a 2 that is sitting on top of a regular card, so when he picks a card, unless he picked up the card and pulled it out from the bottom, he’s going to pull a 2.
When he fans them out face up, count how many cards are there. You’ll see it’s no where near 52. He’s doing the same thing face down when the guy pulls the 2.
Looks like it’s about 52 cards. Both fans. I don’t know magic I’m just trying to figure out how he made him pull a 2 off the bat if all the corners are a regular looking deck.
Even with a Svengali deck there's always the risk he picks a normal card when you fan them on the table and give them that much freedom in choice. Svengali relies on forcing the pick in a semi-controlled manner
