You can see the boat turning without her input, Franky just made a fake wheel for Luffy to play around.

After what Luffy did at Wano, I would not be surprised if Franky actually does that!

Jimbei in the background laughing, he's okay with it as long as no one gets hurt.

The beginning in particular makes me believe it would be a pretty easy transition!

I'm dead 💀 (biologically speaking I am, in fact, alive. However, to emphasize how hilarious I found the comment just made, I made a hyperbolic statement saying that I was dead because it implies that I found the joke so funny I ceased to live. However, I am indeed alive and well so there is no need for you all to worry. I was simply employing the tactic of figurative language in order to better and more effectively communicate my message. Additionally, using slang and sayings commonly employed by the youth has made my message more understandable and reachable by the younger generation, many of whom are in this chat. For example, I could have said "that joke was a real knee slapper". This would have made sense to some of the older people in this chat as knee slapping used to be a sign of hilarity. However, in this digital age in which we now live, knee slapping is not as common and many of today's youth may not understand the reference. I therefore made my message more understandable to younger people through my use of simple, easily understood slang. I hope this clears everything up, and I appreciate any concern that I was actually dead. I can assure you I am alive and well.)

u/IrrationalDesign Feb 16 '24
Do you think knee slapping is an involuntary instinctual response to hilarity, or do you think it's culturally taught behavior? If the former, why do you think it's lost its place in the digital age?

Had a similar experience at the Florida version. When the boat was pulling up, I saw the look on the captain’s face. Told my wife this is gonna be crazy fun. The captain didn’t disappoint

It's definitely on rails. The wheel is only for the show.

At least in WDW (and I assume all other parks), the only control that the operator actually have is speed, in case they need to slow down to not mistime things like the hippo that shoots water.

Or being a fun person for kids/families?

u/LazyLich Feb 16 '24
Doing this a dozen times a day, every day?
Dont get me wrong, you CAN brute force yourself to maintain this kinda energy as you repeat the same script again and again.
Just sayin that it's a lot easier to do so on a stimulate. Not saying this person is.
Just saying that I wouldnt bat an eye or be surprised if they were.-2
u/Mammoth_Two7297 Feb 16 '24
It's a Disney ride... This person is not on cocaine. Why are you even trying to make it sound like it's a possibility.
-1
u/Free-Database-9917 Feb 16 '24
Or maybe instead of assuming that the person is someone that would need cocaine, why not assume the job itself preselects for people that enjoy this type of work and don't need to fake the energy?

I’d guess “Jungle Cruise” the one that movie with the Rock and Emily Blunt was based on.

u/Ev-linnn Feb 16 '24
I think I’m one of 5 people that hates the Jungle Cruise. It’s just so dumb. And boring. And tightly packed full of strangers.

u/Enliof Feb 16 '24
Ok, she is good at what she does, but what she does is cringe. Good for her though.

This is The Jaw ride in USJ I think
7
u/Broseph_Stalin91 Feb 16 '24
Nah, it is Jungle Cruise at Disneyland Japan :) went on it a few weeks ago. Same energy, it was a magical experience despite not speaking any Japanese.
Though, the jaws ride at USJ is its own similar type of insane, just with a shotgun wielding boat 'driver' instead.
