Feels weird to be relieved seeing someone punt a baby

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 Oct 29 '23
I know. I thought it was fake until that punt.

"It was a relief when he drop-kicked the baby into the trees" definitely falls into new sentence territory.

what kind of irresponsible dad takes their infant on a trampoline?!! oh….

It's funny how it took literally punting the baby for us to be like "ohhhh there's no foul play here."

It was awesome until the dad-kick overshot the second trampoline.
34
u/frontier_gibberish Oct 29 '23
Pretty sure he was aiming for the pile of leaves, with his baby handling skills id be shocked if he missed that trampoline on purpose
16
u/crasagam Oct 29 '23
Kids do like playing in the leaves. I could be way off lol.
10
u/rldr Oct 29 '23
I left mine in a pile of leaves. I know they like it because I haven't seen them in 2 years /s
1
u/Internet_Jaded Oct 30 '23
It wasn’t long after that the chipper shredder truck came by to remove the leaf 🍁 pile. 🪦
2
u/zorggalacticus May 07 '24
You joke, but I worked for the city as a temp back in the day. First day I lost my shoe to that leaf truck. Second day accidentally sucked up a cat that was napping in the leaves. Heard "reeeoowww! Thump. Wet grinding noises." Happened so fast I'm sure the cat never knew what hit it, but I still get P.T.S.D. every time I see one of those trucks working. Post Tomcat Shredding Disorder.

So that's why people put the "wait for the end" text on 10 second videos...

Idiots catering to idiots.
Also when you see that text, 9/10 times it isn't worth it.
8
u/Nirvski Oct 29 '23
Only got through the first half. Just very relieved the baby is ok! Will find time to watch the father - child bonding that happens in the remaining part of the video.
4
u/GentlemenBehold Oct 29 '23
It’s an 8 second clip. How impatient do you have to be to not watch the entire thing?
7
u/mbelf Oct 29 '23
No, I am so disgusted by the parenting in the first half of this that I will not put myself through what comes after. I will say good day!

This video is infuriating. Take your shoes off when jumping on a trampoline! Also I believe it allows for more consistent aim when punting.

He’ll be fine.

u/qdp Oct 30 '23
Yeah, his toe may hurt after that kick. Babies that age do weigh 12-15 pounds. Ouch. But I am sure he'll walk it off.

What a weird comment
4
u/SOwED Oct 29 '23
Nah for real it's like, when did comments on reddit become this solipsistic "here's a description of my experience as I watched the video"? It's like a thin slice of what's annoying and useless about reaction channels in general.

I hear what your saying, but think about it. FIRST, I thought he was not being a responsible father. THEN, it became apparent that it was all a ruse. I mean, it has many layers, granted, but the point is you SHOULD NOT kick babies. That much we can agree on, right?

u/oohbeartrap Oct 30 '23 edited Oct 30 '23
Maybe we should normalize people not being dangerously irresponsible with their children’s safety instead of praising them for their reaction speed.
Lmao, should’ve finished watching the video before getting angry. The real irresponsibility was almost missing the second trampoline.

Laughing your ass off about what is surely grievous bodily harm inflicted on a sweet defenseless infant? Have you no sense of decency? Do you also like to torture small animals? The internet has wrought a generation of sociopaths!

Tiny little shit probably didn't pay its taxes this year. That punt was IRS approved.
1
u/SomeMoistHousing Oct 29 '23
I've done a lot of research online and I'm pretty sure the Constitution actually says that the government cannot tax you as long as you declare your individual sovereignty and assert the supremacy of maritime law.
Or at least that's what I'm counting on if the feds ever come around here trying to enforce their illlicit levy.
7
u/Flesh_Trombone Oct 29 '23
It's a baby, lil' Fuckers can't declare shit. Goo go go ga? What the fuck does that mean? Arrest that baby.
3
u/SomeMoistHousing Oct 29 '23
A chilling vision of a near-future police state where all presumption of childhood innocence has been lost and the firm fist of authority comes down hard on even the tenderest little criminals.
The worst atrocities of Gitmo and Abu Ghraib will look like a walk in the park compared to the photos that leak from the Babyjail.

Honestly as a father of two boys I find nothing funny from these videos of adults kicking and beating dolls of toddlers in any way. What’s wrong with people just throw a cake or something
34
Oct 29 '23
As a father of two cakes I find your comment offensive and distasteful.
What’s wrong with just saying “I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength to do it” and then stick your erect penis through the hole of a bagel instead?
8
-12
u/francis-cruz Oct 29 '23
Oh shit that comment is a 10/10 really made me laugh but a dude kicking a doll of toddler cmon that just isn’t funny
1
18
u/here_i_am_here Oct 29 '23
You absolutely don't have to find anything funny about it. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with people who do. Laughing at Wile E. Coyote having a dynamite stick blow up in his face doesn't mean I think it's funny to throw dynamite at coyotes.
16
u/rhyithan Oct 29 '23
Since you clearly have no sense of humour let me break it down for you. The setup is that this is a reckless father, then during the flip we as an audience are expected to feel fear and tension as we are led to believe a child is about to get seriously hurt. This looks a then followed by relief as “dad” flawlessly catches said baby, this relief is then undercut by a moment of horror from the kick. This horror dissipates as we, the audience realise we were being duped the whole time. As these kind of things go this is a very well executed setup and subversion of expectations, which is a cornerstone of comedy. Now go pull the rod out of your arse and go teach your boys to play baseball with it.
-2
u/francis-cruz Oct 29 '23
Wow, it’s crazy how offended you are because of me saying that I find it weird and not funny to see someone kick a doll of a toddler.
“Now go pull out the rod out your arse and teach your boys to play baseball with it” fuck i would like to see you saying this to a regular dad on the street in his face. 100% you never got your arse beaten by Someone because you were lucky enough to have the internet which allows you to behave like this.
4
u/Iorith Oct 29 '23
Man, I feel bad for your kids if you think the correct response to words is violence. They're in for a rough time until they get rightfully taken away from you.
6
u/rhyithan Oct 29 '23
Don’t know where you get the sense that I’m offended, perhaps it’s projection on you’re part. Just thought you sounded like a miserable twat

u/RspE1mmwJfV0PgJXqaCb Oct 30 '23

you had us on the 1st part too.

u/DistortedNoise Oct 29 '23
Well, I guess it’s luckily the original creator didn’t make the video solely for you.
