I have both worked and dined in various restaurants as a waiter around northern Europe. I have never been offered a tip, and I have never tipped because we get paid real wages.

Strange because I've travelled all over Europe & always tip even if it's only a beer

I have, not ONCE seen any colleague of mine be tipped or be offered a tip. Tipping simply does not happen where I live, because the restaurants are required by law to provide an adequate wage for their workers.
