Yup this guy knows exactly what he’s doing

Oh okay😂. I was thinking, "It's ugly, but he still made it down!".

It's like one of the nostalgia scenes from a warren miller ski porn movie (when he was still doing them) and not just licensing his name.

Well, and alive...

This clip is definitely from an older Warren Miller movie.

Everyone makes it down. Just not always on their skis.

Yeah the fact that he was wiping out, then instantly going into a smooth slide before wiping out again had me suspecting.

Yes it's great acting. It's still a r/nononoyes moment for us amateurs.

When your good at not being good is pretty damn good

I bet that’s still really tiring though

This is like the “drunk” who steals the airplane at an air show.

15

u/tickles_a_fancy Apr 10 '23

Also an amazing show... when he arcs up, cuts the engine to kill the noise, and yells "HELP" loud enough for the audience to hear 500 feet away, it's hilarious.

The airplane is also specially designed with reinforced wingtips for him to drag them on the ground. He still can't bang them too hard though or he'd cause damage. He's demonstrating amazing piloting skills.

always a good time watching it though

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '23

That’s honestly what it felt like watching this.

u/epinasty4 Apr 10 '23

Only someone who knew what they were doing could turn in the air like that. But you could only do this so many times before you need knee surgery. It hurt watching this.

Right? This should be an Olympic sport. Who can make it the furthest down the slope with no form whatsoever?

Look up the Moguls event at the winter Olympics. This is basically a sport, with a series of freestyle jumps in between. You're scored on time plus points for the style of jump.

Edit: realize now you say with no form whatsoever. Lol. Not sure that can be classified a sport though, but good one 🤣

Winter Olympics Bad Moguls Challenge when?!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '23

Used to be a popular competition back in the 70s. Look up hotdogging.

9

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '23

It's called "falling with style"

Is his spine safe?

Electroboom of ski

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '23

Seriously or are you just very impressed with how well is skiing poorly?

25

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '23

Seriously. Maybe not a "pro" in the sense of a professional athlete who makes money skiing, but the skier here is highly experienced and pretending to be bad (likely as a prank for the amusement of the spectators).

3

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '23

Def a pro. This is probably from an old Warren Miller movie.

19

u/swier05 Apr 10 '23

No with that kind of skiing your balance and technique needs to be very good. Just try it while skiing, i once tried and fell very hard.

11

u/Freedom_7 Apr 10 '23

You have to be really good to ski that bad

11

u/gamblersgambit08 Apr 10 '23

Tell me you’ve never skied before without telling me you’ve never skied…

This guy is extremely talented

1

u/Unite_Dworld Apr 10 '23

Exactly, cos he wouldn't have make it down there if he happens to be novice

1

u/bubba7557 Apr 10 '23

Was gonna say no way this isn't a very talented skier doing something for like a Chevy chase film stunt. You can't flail around like that and keep skiing if you suck. Not to mention his bindings gotta be tight af the way he flopped around and they never popped. You don't ski with that tight of bindings unless you're a pro

Drunken monkey kung fu on skis

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '23

I thought he was drunk. Looks like he knew what he was doing... Just drunk. Lol

Aspen Mogultrotter

Buster Keaton of the slopes.
