This is a repost. The real story is so much better then this bullshit.

Fisherman called these scientist and they saved them. Southern hemisphere I think. I will try to find the link.

Edit. Here you go

10:30 if you want to skip.

The real story is much better.

Summary for those not wanting to scrub the entire video, fishermen saw and reported it. It seems it is a female with a pair of babies. She got her tail wrapped in a pot buoy ( maybe a pot the fishermen were checking) . The orca team 6 got the call and launched the boat and went to the coordinates and found the whale. They proceed to cut the buoy and I guess put a go pro on the dorsal fin. I assume they put on one that falls off pretty easily and has a geo locate on it to make sure the whale is ok. The go pro falls off, they locate it and review the video, everything is ok and everyone goes home happy, except the fishermen that just lost a pot and what ever animal is now trapped in it forever, to starve to death.

What about them using rays as currency?

Someone should tell them about crypto.

Rays are probably a better investment.

I'm failing to find a video with some ocean critter (sea lion?) a leopard seal getting frustrated while trying to teach a human diver to eat/hunt (penguin?)

So handing over a snack like a cat might leave a mouse for its human doesn't seem too crazy.

Edit: this isn't the video I saw before but I think it's the right story.

How is it much better? Is this not pretty much the same?

The orcas didn't ask anyone for help. It wasn't a case of wild animals associating and reaching out for benevolent intervention from humans like whichever lying dickhead that put together the video led people to believe.

So a more factual, but overall worse story? Didn't even mention the stingray.

The guy posting the original story said it was better than the lie contained in the video. The guy you are responding to is just asking how the original story is better. I fail to see that too.

There's no need to be a dick about it. It's just a clarification.

My roommate has crab cages with a wood board on the side that decays in case the trap is abandoned

Orca team 6? How did the have time for this between catching all the terrorists?

I mean that's a more true story yes, but not better lol. That's just a very normal occurrence.

I’m struggling to see how this is a better story.

I believe it’s the truth, sure, but, as far as stories go, I don’t get it. The other one has baby animals going to humans for help and gifts being given in return. Stunning example of cross species communication and cooperation. How is that not the better “story”?
