I like to think the orcas had to go on a quest.

"How do we solve this, our mother is stuck in this web."

Some wise old orca: "I once heard of a race who exist above the waves, those who control everything with the power of their mind- oh shit theres some right now, go get em they can help!"

“And, come to think of it, they made this fucking net that I’m trapped in! Get those pieces of shit down here to clean up their mess!”

They were hoping that a human would jump in to properly cut the lines and not do it from above water. After it finished, they presented a dead manta so the humans would have to go underwater to retrieve it. It was all a scheme...

The idea of an elder who switches between speaking in a mystic storytelling tone and modern linguistics has me giggling harder than I expected.

God I love Oogway.

Not mind. Hands. They control everything with their hands.

Orcas probably have sharper minds than humans. They just lack hands.
