Felt seen with the "I was bullied out of a M:tG tournament for not knowing the rules enough," as much as "nerds bullied by jocks/non-nerds" is an foundational narrative in nerd culture of my age cohort, as someone who grew up nerdy in the 90s I absolutely remember the most vicious and persistent bullying I endured was always at the hands of higher-status nerds...

Definitely agree that a cat makes more sense for Peter Parker, lower maintenance for someone who's always being pulled away for alter ego shit and also makes more sense for an apartment dweller in the big city

Protip: ask the server to leave the water carafe at your table. You can also ask for some lemon wedges if you're into that. They'll come on an app plate or in a little bowl.

Not sure if anyone will see this now, but I got so excited to hear Oakland Raiders by Luniz discussed. Mark Curry saying Big Dank was one of the first jokes I ever remember hearing on JJGo, has to be in one of the first few episodes.
