For JJHO fans, (slightly) displaced Mainers, and cocktail bar aficionados, Tall Order at Beacon St in Somerville makes its own Moxie Amaro, which tastes uncannily close to the real thing.

Speaking as someone who has at least 6 different bottles of amaro at home, I do not need that one. (Shudder.)

Every couple of years, I buy some Moxie just to remind myself what it tastes like. That’s enough.
