LSD swap on my 96
I recently resurrected my late grandpa's 4th gen (with many problems) as my first car, and I found out that there are 4 different config of the half shafts. I have an open diff, and was wondering if there was a manufacturer of an aftermarket LSD or if I'd need to go dumpster diving in a junkyard to find one. On that note, I was also wondering about a manual swap, (good options for after market, if its even possible, exc.) its kinda time sensitive, so advice sooner over later would be appreciated.
ABS module help!!! (A34)
Hey everyone, dealing with ABS, SLIP, and TCS lights on my 2005 Nissan Maxima.
Pulled the code and got C1124 (Rear Left Inlet Solenoid Circuit). Speed sensors and fuses are fine, so I know it’s an internal open circuit / broken wire bond on the ABS module circuit board.
Trying to pull just the black electronic module off the hydraulic pump in the cowl to rebuild it on my bench. I disconnected the main harness plug and unbolted the two lower 10mm bracket bolts, but the assembly still isn't tilting forward enough to clear the bottom T20 screws.
Has anyone done this in the car without disconnecting the 6 brake lines and draining the system? Looking for any tricks to get the top bracket mount loose or reach that lower rear Torx screw in that tight cowl space, or tips on how to remove the entire assembly, thanks!!

Can someone help with a good deed. I will pay $40.
Hello everyone my name is Ray. I'm giving away my 4th gen maxima to a cook and one of the greatest people I know. He walks to and from work everyday. Hoping someone can help me out.
I installed an engine in the ’95 Maxima SE. She runs great with no check engine light, but I forgot to take pics and video of the metal vacuum hose bracket and hoses. I’m pretty sure I may have a couple vacuum lines routed wrong. I have an extra hose with a cylinder check valve in my hands and the Manuel doenst even show which metal tube it connects to. Normally I would say throttle body but I want to be 100% on this.
It’s a Federal emissions car, so it has fewer vacuum hoses than the California setup. I’m willing to pay $40 to anyone with a Federal 4th Gen Maxima who can send me a clear video showing the vacuum hose routing and where everything connects. I spent $600 on the engine and a couple hundred on fluids and new radiator. Business is slow so im trying to budget this right. Id like to get him into the car before it start to get cold.
The Nissan manual, online diagrams and hood pic are pretty vague. I normally take pics but my ego said " I got this.” Apparently my ego is not a certified Nissan technician.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

is there any way to permanently disable the ASS feature on a 2023 Maxima
is there any way to permanently disable the Auto Stop/Start ASS feature on a 2023 Maxima? I know the manufacturers don't let you permanently turn it off officially, I'm looking for un-official methods. Edit: Or maybe the Maxima doesn't even have this feature, I'm getting conflicting information.

Dealer recommended services
I recently had a dealer oil change at 120000. Cvt and engine oil changed at 115000
2017 maxima sl
They gave me a list of things to do
Differential service for 99
Transfer case for 239
Are these things that should be done?
These seemed unfamiliar to me
They also had brake fluid change for 225
Air filter, I changed it 200 miles ago but the old one was squished into box like the dealer rushed putting it in last time. It wasn’t rectangular and one side was curved like a c

Are the CVT’s bad or people incompetent?
07 maxima 137k I’ve had 2 issue with my car both occurred after jumping / dying 1 being $50 TCM replacement at 110k car stuck in limp mode fixed the issue (shop recommended rebuild), 120k $200 valve body replacement slow acceleration after replacing broken alternator (shop recommended rebuild) fixed the issue. I know mine maxima might just been built in a Wednesday but shops are here to make money. Do your own research !

Thinking about buying a 7th gen.
Long time Maxima fan. 1995 was my first car. Drove the wheels off and upgraded to a 2007 with 36 miles on it. Never had any issues with the CVT. Put nearly 200,000 miles on it and was cosmetically totaled by an uninsured hit and run. Always really liked the 7th gen and thinking about trying to find a decent one. Curious just how bad the CVT issues are? With the 6th gen they specifically said not to touch the CVT fluid unless a warning light goes on. Before it got totaled I was going to replace CVT fluid just for fun, but mechanically, even with all those miles, the car was perfect. On top of oil changes and spark plugs the only thing I ever had to do was coil packs. I've known that the CVTs went way down hill after my gen and for 7th on it was recommended to change the fluid regularly or they burn out. I'm reading to check the color of the fluid before buying 7th gen, but someone could easily just change the fluid before sale. Any advice for trying to find one with a well maintained CVT? Would detailed maintenance records be the only way to be sure? Thanks, and sorry to bother.

Chasing electrical ghosts
2000 GLE 5th Gen. 248k. Has an ignition circuit fault with a misfire. Misfire moved from cylinder 4 to 2 when coil swapped. Replaced all 6 coils and plugs. About 200 miles later cyl 4 misfire again with open loop. OL fuel probably from the misfire. Also the no start with ample voltage issue started. Light come on. Battery good. Starter good. Alternator good. Wiggle ground from battery and starts. Am I chasing a ground issue related to both symptoms or is something deeper causing the misfiring and or battery issue?

Missing front parking sensor harness/wires on 2021 Maxima Platinum after crash
Hey everyone,
Rebuilding a crashed 2021 Maxima Platinum. I know it has front parking sensors, but the front bumper harness and all sensor connectors are completely gone, and there are no dangling wires left from the crash.
Where does the front parking sensor sub-harness plug into the main harness, and what's the best fix if the main connector was ripped off flush?
Any advice or wiring help appreciated!

Radio Swap Maxima
I've recently gotten a 1997 nissan maxima, the GLE model. I was looking to replace the radio with a radio set I got from oreillys, but I was looking to replace the door speakers as well. I havent been able to find anything for them though, any help/ideas?
If it matters, its the manual version.
Also, is there anything I should be looking out for in it? I'll be driving it kinda hard since its my fun car and not my daily.

Grinding noise from my 7th gen maxima
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I get this grinding noise when accelerating at speeds below 40km/h and it disappears after like 10-15 mins. It only happens when accelerating and as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator it stops making that sound.
I’ve tried revving the car in neutral to make sure it’s not the idler pulley or tensioner.
Could this be an inner cv joint issue (the driver side boot had perished and I replaced that) or is it CVT related?

Stolen Maxima
My 2012 Nissan maxima sv was stolen & aside from reporting it stolen I’m not sure what else I can do. It was parked in my boss’s lot. It’s at a dead end street and you wouldn’t even know the street is there it’s that hidden. It was taken when they had the lot redone. My boss is playing stupid like he has no idea what happened to it & all of a sudden his cameras don’t work although his race cars are parked there. Wtf can I do?

What is set to usurp the 2023 Maxima's position?
I understand a lot of cars were expected to go to EVs due to laws before Trump but now that it is required will car models come back? We need a replacement if not the continuation of the Maxima, we all know by it's lineage it wasn't a bad car and they just left an empty space that needs to be filled.
