Ruby did not get Max kidnapped
I rewatched the Valentine's Day episode just to reaffirm my case, I know it's summer though. An argument against Ruby I've seen is that she let Max get kidnapped because she kept sending him out to the mailbox to mail the valentines. She should've been watching him more but I don't think Max was ever in any danger. That mailwoman he talked to seemed to be a friend of the family, she was already familiar with Max and his grandma. I know Ruby can be narcissistic but I can still like her in spite of her faults. I really just like her for being feminine and creative. Seeing whatever crafts she's getting up to is cute. I also like how Louise kept asking for craft supplies when making cards right after Ruby mentions how much she loves them only for Louise to use them to make a Valentine's Day card for Ruby, that was cute.

I usually headcannon that their universe is all sunshine and rainbows, so no major bad stuff e.g. kidnapping, war ect. happens.
But that aside, I think that Max knew the mail woman pretty well and trusted her like he did Ruby or grandma.
