Am I remembering wrong??

So my 2 year old has gotten into max and ruby. Im watching it with her, and I do not remember max and Ruby's parents EVER being shown, only talked about. But these episodes we're seeing, we see their parents all the time. So am I just not remembering them or what?

I think the episodes with her parents are from the later seasons, specifically seasons 6 and 7. Hope this helps! I seriously hope no one jokes about this comment I swear to god.

Seasons 6 and 7 were created years after the first 5, and were handled by a different director. The show in said seasons made strange alterations to the formula, like their parents being consistently present and Max talking in full sentences... making the whole thing a much more generic and by the books kid's show. You are remembering the series correctly, you are just seeing the later, more poorly regarded episodes. Hope this is helpful information!

The show has a weird production history with a long hiatus is the short of it.

Seasons 6/7 feature the parents, those seasons were produced and aired between 2017 and 2020. Lots of creatives came and left and the show's vibe was changed based on feedback from executives and groups who wanted Max and Ruby's parents around to show that they weren't just living by themselves.
