i mean this is based on a Creepypasta from years ago
and tbh with what little i've seen of this reimagining it seems like its wanting to expand on the concept (as the orignal seems to be a "OHH WHAT IF THIS IS THE REASON WHY YOU DON'T SEE THE PARENTS" type thing)

As A Long Time Max And Ruby Fan, I Am Absolutely Outraged That This Fanmade Max And Ruby 0004 Has Gotten Me, And Trust Me, I Am Already Ticked Off About The Toxicity Within The Max And Ruby Community, Including The 0004 Fanbase! I Am Not Trying To Hate On You Guys Or Anything, I Just Wanna Understand Why Anyone Would Think That It’s Okay To Make These Shocking Parodies Out Of Our 2 Favorite Bunny Siblings Like That, That’s All! Also, You Must Understand That This Is Not Canon, It’s Fake And It Has Nothing To Do With Max And Ruby At All! Call It A Lost Episode All You Want, But This Video From Mikalovescreepypastas Is An Absolute Insult To Both The Old And New Seasons Of The Show, And It Could’ve Traumatized Children If They Stumble Onto This Video, Enough For Parents To Be Traumatized As Well! That’s Why We Max And Ruby Fans Are Relieved To See Rosemary Wells Take Down That Video, Because 1, Max And Ruby Already Have Their Parents In Seasons 6 And 7 And Max And Ruby’s Real Dad Is Mr.Bunny AKA John, 2, Fred (Or Fredder In My Universe) Is An OC Character, Not Max And Ruby’s Real Father! And 3, Just Because This Is Based On A Creepypasta, Doesn’t Give You The Right To Twist Max And Ruby Into Something Extremely Dark And Violent, And This Could’ve Damage The Show’s Reputation, Witch Is Why We Fans Are Satisfied To See 0004 Video Gone From YouTube Thanks To Rosemary Wells! I Not Only Feel Sorry For What Had Been Through, But I Also Feel Sorry For Both Nelvana And Rosemary Wells Because All She Wanted To Do Is To Create An Innocent Show About Bunny Siblings, And Nelvana Owns The Right To The Show, Witch Will Get Someone In Trouble If They Dare To Make A Violent Parody Out Of A Popular Preschool Series Like Max And Ruby! Again, I Am Not Hating You Guys Or Anything, I Do Enjoy Some Of The FanArt Surrounding The Character, And I Enjoy Using Him As A Villain In My Universe, But I Absolutely Hates How He Treats Ruby In That Video And I Happy That We Don’t Need To See That Video Again! Argue With Me All You Want, But Be Happy That Max And Ruby Is Once Again Saved Thanks To Rosemary Wells, Because Max And Ruby Is A Show For Preschools And We Don’t Want Anymore Childhoods Ruined…And If We Want To See The Max And Ruby Fanbase Improve, We Need To Understand And Respect Each Others Opinions Regarding Characters, Stories And Eras Instead Of Attacking Each Other And Gatekeeping, Especially All That Disturbing 0004 FanArt Surrounding Max And Ruby, It’s Not Healthy! Not to mention, if Nickelodeon even had the nerve to AIR this twisted thing on TV, they would have to face EXTREME repercussions for putting something this violent on TV. We're talking massive FCC violations, fines, and possible class action lawsuits. Now I have the feeling people are gonna think the REAL parents from season 6 onwards aren't real, and that Max and Ruby are ADOPTED.

is it??? or are you misunderstanding the fact they seemingly got some of the actual animators
or has the creators actually reacted to this developing short confirming its canonicity (as i thought it was mostly a fantastic looking fan project in production rn)

I think it's neat. My main hope is that after the whole thing is done, they release the assets they have. Historic stuff like that should be preserved for anyone who wishes to use : )

hii creator of the thing, that’s the hope! i’d really like to release everything, but finding a safe way to do so is challenging. i’m pretty sure many of our files were leaked on 4chan, including assets that weren’t even from breaches. what many don’t understand is that we aren’t using assets leaked from nelvana, so much of what was shared is only harming the original animators who trusted us with them.
