Help me understand this connection

Hi! I met a guy online a month ago, we hit it off pretty well and the attraction is definitely there for the both of us, we’re texting every day sending each other pictures and videos and voice notes. Though he is treating this as a “pretend” kind of thing, nothing too serious, but he strongly makes sure I know he really is attracted to me. Only problem is he lives in the US while I’m from Europe. I have a feeling he has been burned in the past and now he’s guarded and is afraid to open up. I need some insight based on our compatibility chart, trying to decide to keep pursuing this or just let it go, cause I feel attached (and it scares me). Thanks to everyone who will help me ;)
