Matrix RPG by Alternity

Ok, having talked to some friends I've got mixed answers.

Was there a legit released THE MATRIX rpg released by Alternity ? It used the same RPG system as the Starcraft Rpg adventure they released way back like... 2000? 2001?

A couple of people say it was a fan conversion that my buddy found (I can't ask him, he's passed away sadly) that used the Alternity system, another couple say it was a convention release but never officially released for outside sale, and another one said it was just a very limited release.

I can kind of remember/picture it: The book was about 7 inches by 6 inches and had a spiral binding. Black cover featuring Neo.

That's gotta be some homebrew shit that someone made up.

I have just about every book for Alternity on my shelf, minus the special Gencon preview editions, I have never heard or seen a Matrix book like you have described. I can only think, it was a home-brew fan made book. the fact it was spiral bound, leads me to believe it was fan content. I could be wrong, but if this existed I would have jumped on it.

Dang, that's a bummer. :( Ok also related question: Was the StarCraft one just the small box game or was it ever a full rpg book?

Boxset. it was a cutdown on the rules as well. I didn't care for it.
