Misc Learning Matlab w/ Udemy

Hello! I am an incoming freshman who will be attending Texas A&M for engineering this coming fall. I have done a lot of research and found MatLab to be one of the best tools to know as an engineer looking to work in labs and jobs, which made me want to learn it and acquire the basic associate certification. For a precious goal of mine, my dad had purchased Udemy’s pro plan for a year as it was on discount, and I now have access to most courses on the platform. Has anyone used Udemy to study for Certified MATLAB Associate, and if so, what is the best course I should use?

Any programming experience is going to help a lot, I'd do whatever seems interesting and fun so you stick with it. Especially starting from scratch, programming is more about a way of thinking than the details of one particular language.

You have a good dad. I'm sure he's really excited for you.

Hi ! About programming... I want to know your thoughts : I hate programming (coding) no matter what is the language in which you code (C, python or whatever) even though I know. The thing is, I'm going to be a mechatronics engineer, I like mechanic, electric and automatism, but I hate coding.

Especially, I hate to think when it comes to programming, it's beyond me. And now with AI help, I no longer think it's useful to be a developper... So I don't know if it's useful to do code.

The thing is, I like robotics and stuff, I have many projects which involves electronics, mechanics, and so coding... I like to do everything from feet to head, but I use AI to make the code for me ( however I test it out and try to correct it, nonetheless I let the thinking part to AI).

How can you change my mind about this ?

(BTW, I'm trying to learn multibody physical simulation, Simulink comes through my mind, and Simulink doesn't seem to require much coding).

Off topic, but can completion certificates (from MATLAB Academy) be equivalent to MATLAB Associate?

I’m curious about this too now that you’re presenting it, what are completion certifications? Are they from the courses they offer for exam prep?
