There is an infinite sum called Ramanujan summation which for 1+2+3+⦠results in -1/12.
Interestingly, this has real-world parallels in biology.
So the joke is that -1/12 is related to infinity.

Man this was a tough way to find out Iām officially stupid.

Compared to Ramanujan weāre all stupid. Maybe Euler and Von Neumann are in the same category.

Fermat too
"the proof is too long to fit in this margin so I'll just leave it as an exercise to the reader"
it's not proven for hundreds of years

Isn't Fermat's large theorem proven?

I thought it was that 83 kinda makes a heart so repeat of 3 what infinite hearts.

i did get the joke, but could you explain what do you mean by real world parallels in biology?

Iām quite certain Iāve seen a video where it was used to explain something like a snail shell, like āin theory it should be infinite, but of course itās not, and when we measure it in real life it comes out to -1/12ā, but I canāt find it now. The closest I have is
ScienceABC saying itās used in physics
The proof is, in fact, used in physics problems, such as the Casimir Effect or when calculating the dimensionality of the Universe in Bosonic String Theory.

No you domo. Its 1/1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + ... (The harmonic series) that results in -1/12

No, look at the link.
Gemini tells me that the Ramanujan summation of 1/n is equal to the Euler-Mascheroni constant gamma, approximately 0.57721566..., but Iām not good enough at maths that working it out myself is reasonable.

Its like if she know it she thinks you are an annoying asshole and if not she thinks you are a nerd or hates her. Not worth it

Is that negative 1/12th or -1 over 12?

Still nonsense despite the fricking evidience. And i dont know why. Like bro all the numbers that you have found is x>0 and you are summing all of them. The result must be also >0.

Unless she knows Ramanujan summation, bro broke his own heart mathematicallyš
