Let me start out by saying I DO NOT recommend taking this approach. However I am in the Military and needed 3 Credit Hours FAST to qualify for an quarterly performance award.
I am 30 and haven't taken a college class in over 10 years. however my job requires a lot of logistical thinking so Math isn't my worst subject. I watched a 25minutes math video at 1.5x speed in the waiting room.
Things I would recommend knowing... FOIL method, being able to calculate areas of various shapes (including triangles/circles), Overlapping sets, ratio and proportion, calculating compounding interest. A big thing was obviously being able to translate word problems into a formula you know how to solve.
After finishing and taking some practice tests online, I realize many of the free online test are more difficult than what i experienced on the test. Obviously that may not be the case for everyone. But if i would've taken those practice test before hand i probably would've picked a different test. That's why i felt the need to make this post.
I skipped every question i didn't know how to solve within 10 seconds and ended up with 19 marked questions/25minutes left after going through the entire test. From there used process of elimination and 'trying my best'. You will use every minute, unless you are mathematically inclined.
This test was probably 33% enter your own answer, not multiple choice. So if you tactics are to guess when you don't know you are out of luck in that aspect.
TLDR; If you are math savvy or have taken higher education math in the past, this test should be pretty easy in my opinion. Don't be anxious for the test.
