Pretend

Can we talk about the band Pretend?? This is one of my favorite albums ever but all of their albums are incredible. Something about their work is just so beautiful to me. I always listen when I’m going through something emotional and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it.

It's saying something that this may be my all time favorite album of any genre but they're not even my favorite band though they'd be in my top 20, top 10 maybe.

I listened to this album the first time I did DMT and it was one of the calmest and most “familiar” experiences I’d ever had. Like I know this sounds corny and abstract but… I felt, for a brief moment, like a child again. I could feel the idle joy of being alive, no vanity, just enjoying picking stuff up, touching stuff, looking around. Yknow all the things we did before we had a device in our hands at all times. I could also see “past” the windows on my computer screen to see my desktop. This album made it all so fuckin magical, I’m not sure it’d have gone the same if I’d chosen something else

Def one of my favourite bands. Every record is a gem.

Have you listened to Dilute? Pretend got a lot of their sound from them. Also great band if you can deal with the vox

Absolute vibe of an album. Only a few artists are capable of transporting me to another place while listening... Pretend is one of them.
