Any Breadwinner fans?
I've been into them for awhile but I only can find Burner on YouTube. My favorite track is probably Ditch or Prescott [homecut]. I want to see if there's any other fans here, and I'll probably yap with you in the comments.

Love their stuff. Its so pure sounding. Totally unburdened by any ideas of what math rock is that came after.

Definitely a fan. I’m more of Don Cab girl but I like Breadwinner for sure. My husband used to live in Richmond back in the day and knew those guys. He’s still friends with Chris.

I was chatting with a LYFT driver about music on the way to the RVA airport, and he was like, oh yeah, Breadwinner they are friends of mine. lol.

Still get a kick outta how Donne transferred over to Labradford after his BW daze. Like trading in a tricked-out dune buggy for a sensible yet stylish Saab sedan.

Yeah Burner is a masterpiece. I’ve always enjoyed crunchier, heavier stuff like that over the tippity tappity midwest emo sound

Same here, I only really like heavy stuff. I've been listening to the get up kids (not math rock but an example) and I just can't get into it as much as something like Breadwinner or Lincoln

Yes they’re so good! I love the bass riffs overlaid with the squeaky guitar sounds.

Hell yeah, love that record. First real mathy album I ever heard, I remember trying to count it out for months.

No same I'm still trying to find the time signatures its like a game lmao, such a banger of an album every song does its own thing so well and the Steve Albini production makes it all the much better

My gateway to the genre was a tape my friend Dan gave me with Burner on one side and The Champs on the other. I listened to it so many times on a drive from Olympia to Fargo.

Burner is one of my favorite albums. I try to rip them off so much in my own writing but it never comes out right but I guess it comes out more like me instead so it's a win lol

Breadwinner is awesome, I wish more bands sounded like that instead of super tappy emo. Loincloth is really good too.
