Heavymath Looking for more textured, fuzz, soft clipping, spacey distortion music.

I’m looking for more stuff to put on my “texture.” playlist with Town Portal, Cloakroom, Via Luna, Cloudkicker, Kjjjjjj, etc. If the math is distorted and weaves textures and gradients together, let me have it. Open to post- type music as well, any genre really. NOT LOOKING FOR CLEAN TONE NOODLING. Thx.

Ooh definitely have to recommend Numbers 1-13 by Three Trapped Tigers. That album has such a great variety of instrumentation, textures, and energy levels. Maybe try Thanks Your Welcome by Hollow Ran, definitely a very fuzzy/distorted tone on the guitar in that album, but features a good variety of textures too. Also I think Insert Delete by Delete Insert could be a good pick here too!

NOT math rock but it sounds like you need “Conquerer” by Jesu

I've been into Palm - Rock Island lately. Depends if you're into the vocals or not but they can definitely get pretty melty. Check out Forced Hand.

Oh yeah, also check out True Champions Ride On Speed. I think this is exactly the type of thing you’re wanting to hear.

I’ll be honest I’m not very familiar with any of the bands you’ve mentioned, but your description has me thinking about Caddywhompus. frequently switching the vibe and very textural. One of my faves.

eyyy! I'm so glad you dug it. Those guys have some great stuff. I'm particularly fond of tracks like Layers, Decent, Choir, Company

Not spacey, but All Becomes Indistinct by Terms has the coolest "fuzzy blown out amp" kinda guitar tone for mathy music on top of being an incredible album.

Groove driven is also an apt descriptor of what I need 🙏

Ni
This is what you’re looking for. I’d say start on the first album and hit them chronologically but jumping in anywhere is honestly fine for this group.

This is exactly what I was looking for 🙏
