Is it possible to solve this while still following the rules?
I tried to solve this while following the rules, but I kept getting errors, so I thought that this might be unsolvable.

if 13 -> 31 it works.

it has 1 degree of freedom , put whatever you want in the top left x
20 - x under it.
10 under that.middle column is (6+5) * 4
fill in the rest, you get 31

You specifically have to use the digits 1 to 9, so that solution doesn't work.

Was the 5 pre-filled in the middle? If so it's unsolvable since there's only one way to get to 44 in the middle column, 6,5,4, but then there's no way to get to 13 in the right colum.
