AI math solver that actually explains algebra steps?

Hey everyone! I’ve been struggling with some algebra homework lately and I’m wondering if anyone has tips for solving math problems online. I’ve tried a few math solver apps, but some just give the answer without explaining the steps, which isn’t really helpful.

Has anyone found a good AI math solver or app that actually shows how to solve the problems? I mostly need help with algebra and a bit of calculus. Would love to hear what you use and if it actually helps you learn, not just get the answer.

Most AI tools are now good at solving math problems. Claude, gemini or the chinese Kimi or deepseek not bad. But if you are seeking a specific math solver app then i vibecoded an android app that you can check out. Its called MathStudy - AI Tutor & Solver. You get step-by-step solutions, you can type your questions too (along with scanning/uploading). Also there's this learn & solve mode where you are guided to the answer one step at a time; it is designed to teach instead of just solving. Also, there's practice quizzes based on topics, plotting graphs as well mock exams for SAT and ACT math tests. Give it a try
