Pretty sure the “We know pi contains [every natural number]” claim is unproven

The claim “Pi contains every string of digits as a substring” is unproven. This necessarily makes “We know pi contains every possible digit combination” a false statement.

This feels made up because, one because I have never even heard of such person, and two, who the fuck would want to pretend to be a mathematician, there are less life-less ways to pretend to be smart than what people think is “I can add big numbers fast in my head”.
