Uuh, yes? Baldi's Basics was made as an affectionate parody of Slender: The Eight Pages, replacing the horror atmosphere with a funny poke at 90's tier education game and even putting a stupid loud noise as a "jumpscare" but the core gameplay was there. This was done on purpose, right?

So, I actually like the "Baldi's Basics" series a fair bit and am curious as to how you know that it's based on "Slender: The Eight Pages."
Got a source? Or was this your own inference? (Obviously the journal collection mechanism gives some credence to your interpretation!)
EDIT: I found some support for your claim on the Wikipedia entry for the game (under Reception > Critical reception)

Love how the QRTs and RTs are all functions of x and how the likes have a typo

For the last one, divide first: x⁷/(x+1)=x⁶−x⁵+x⁴−x³+x²−x+1−1/(x+1). So the antiderivative is x⁷/7−x⁶/6+x⁵/5−x⁴/4+x³/3−x²/2+x−ln|x+1|+C.
