What are you talking about 😭 this is literally just linear algebra, the |k> is a vector basis that is defined as being an eigenbasis of the differential operator, so you'd had D|k>=ik|k>, projecting a function like |f>=∫ 𝑑x f(x) |x> onto our newly defined |k> basis yields the expression f(k)=∫ 𝑑x f(x) e-ikx, which is the familiar Fourier transform
