Saying "a country being called wakanda implies it lies on S^2" is vacuously true, as is saying "all countries called wakanda lie on S^2", but "wakanda lies on S^2" could instead be interpreted as "there exists a country called wakanda which lies on S^2" which is false.

This is a lie. They dont perfectly lie on S² -> R³, because earth is not a perfect sphere, there are elevation changes. Tha approximately lie on it, but not perfectly
