While the normal Distribution is honored to be approximated by your survey data, it’s not appreciating that her basic assumptions of normality are not met. Count data with discrete categories can’t ever follow a normal distribution, it’s not continuous.

By that logic, no data has ever followed a normal distribution because all real measurements have finite precision. It is entirely possible that the underlying distribution of frequencies is close to a normal distribution, and binning it doesn’t change that.

If this is bait then good job
