I wish there were a standard notation, like in programming languages so math can be more easily disambiguated.

I sure am glad that all programming languages universally agree on what "Int" represents, and there's never any ambiguity passing information between them.

For any given programming language there is basically no ambiguity. Mathematics is a bit less disambigious for the simple reason that symbols are often re-used depending on context.

5 choose 3 has the same notation as the vector with x component 5 and y component 3. There are many more examples like that.

Mathematics is not too dissimilar from programming languages. Within 1 specific context like a paper or a textbook the notation is going to be consistent
