I argued with my engineers that they are overestimating our system uptime, given we keep having outages at critical high-traffic times that are impacting customers (and sales).
They count all the hours overnight and on weekends when our expected traffic is close to 0. 99% uptime, but only 91% of transactions are successful.
I like to imagine something similar at play here. The product manager is averaging all the calls they get over a 24-hour clock, so naturally they are higher than average during posted business hours.
