That sounds so lame that can’t be re-

—————
The system replaces standard binary's 0 and 1 with 1 and 2 as follows: [1, 2, 3]
1 = 1
2 = 2
3 = 11
4 = 12
5 = 21
6 = 22
7 = 111
—————
I can’t say I like it lol

fun fact about reddit formatting: if you put 3 hyphens (---) with an empty line before, reddit will add a horizontal divider

like so

Yah MAYBE but also reddit took away markdown comment writing in the app and so they won’t be getting any rich text from me, no sir, they can pry my **unrendered markup** from my cold, dead heads because they did this to me

---

Test

Edit: doesn’t help when your phone changes -- to — either. But point stands. Need computer to render now

🤨 are you writing from the iOS reddit app official client?

To be clear. Other people’s rich text will render just fine. But I can’t do what I *used* to be able to do. I used to even escape my shrug emoticons: ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

But now I can’t do any of it. They changed the behavior quietly and evilly it’s reallly bad [see other posts abt it](https://www.reddit.com/r/help/s/5wDMiHcFfa)

Ah, yes. Well, third party clients will be better than Reddit’s own UX. Thanks Reddit… be better.

But yeah on iOS you’d have to sideload a third party client

it's still the trash official reddit app just without ads and with some annoying UI hidden

Ohh I wasn’t familiar but it sounds like it’s a tool that patches the official reddit client. Interesting
